Our Story

Hames Ellerbe is a Photographer, Creative Director, and Producer, working freelance and with visual production studios that create visual brands and commercial images for clients internationally.

In addition to working in the creative and outdoor industries, he is in his final year of study for a Master of Science in Art Management, concentrating in Photography and Design, from the University of Oregon.

​Before devoting time to visual production and graduate school, he worked for thirteen years in the Ski and Bicycle Industries. During this time he served as a Branding and Project Manager for several companies, including Northstar California Resort, Mt Bachelor, and Boreal/Woodward Tahoe. Additionally, he held several clients throughout Central Oregon.

​Growing up in the mountains of North Carolina, Hames quickly gained a passion for the outdoors at a young age. Choosing to have easy access to the outdoors, he received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from Appalachian State University. Upon completion, he ventured westward to Lake Tahoe, where he began his ski industry career and became an accomplished backcountry skier. Eventually he gained his AIARE I certification, achieving several ascents and descents of Mt. Hood, the Three Sisters, and Broken Top. Also, an accomplished mountain biker, he has traveled much of North America in pursuit new terrain. These passions are seen throughout his work, especially in photography, where he frequently is assigned to shoot adventure sports
