Research suggests that during difficult or stressful times in the world, more baby girls tend to be born. Some scientists believe this may be nature’s way of protecting the future, since girls historically have a slightly higher chance of surviving challenging conditions.
For the Black community, this idea can also be seen as a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience carried by Black women and girls. Through generations of struggle and triumph, Black women have been leaders, nurturers, and pillars of their families and communities.
Moments like this celebrate that legacy — honoring the power, brilliance, and determination of Black women who continue to shape the future and uplift the next generation with pride. ✊🏾🖤👑
