Surprise! We’re doing a Monologue Showcase!

Four theatre majors/minors are presenting the monologues they’ve been working on all semester in their Acting III class! It’s a mix of comedic, dramatic, and one of their choosing, whether it be something they wrote, from a movie, or even a song!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for… presenting ✨TLC’s 2026-2027 season!✨

This season is a journey to the past, as we experience the tale of Anastasia, the Shakespearean classic “Midsummer’s Night Dream,” and the beloved classic “My Fair Lady.”

Auditions are Saturday, April 25th at 2:00pm in the Martin Performing Arts Center. Please come with a one-minute comedic monologue and a 16-bar cut of a musical theatre song of your choice! Everyone is welcome and encouraged to audition!

We cannot wait for this upcoming season to begin, and we want you all to be a part of it! Whether you join us on stage or you’re a part of the crowd, your presence is all we need!

🌟 Presenting “Sure Thing” 🌟

Riley Nickens and Jeffery Williams return to the stage in this one act play directed by junior Studio Art and Theatre double major Olivia Huffman!

Riley Nickens is a freshman Christian Studies major, and Jeffery Williams is a freshman Theatre major!

🎭 Tell us about the show:
This short play focuses on the chance meeting of Betty and Bill, who have their conversation constantly interrupted, and reset by the use of a ringing bell that rings every time one of them responds negatively to something the other one says

📣 What’s your favorite part about directing this one act?
How easy it has been to direct Riley and Jeff! They’re just great to work with, and I’ve loved seeing their acting skills grow through these characters!

🌟 Presenting “People Will Talk” 🌟

Abby Johnson and Cayden Walls return to the stage in this one act play directed by senior Theatre and Journalism double major Kayla Condrey!

Abby Johnson is a junior Graphic Design major and Music minor. Cayden Walls is a senior Theatre and Communications, Media, and Theatre double major.

🎭 Tell us about the show:
Two strangers, seeking to be alone on a rooftop, have a chance encounter and form an unlikely bond. They navigate the struggles of grief, mental health, and the beauty of fate. But will their friendship be enough to convince them both to stay?

📣 What’s your favorite part about directing this one act?
Watching these characters grow with each rehearsal. Abby and Cayden both do such an incredible developing their characters and finding new ways to interact. It’s just been so rewarding working with these two.

Joseph Johnson, Kaiden Carbaugh, and Cheyenne Carbaugh return to the stage in this one act play directed by senior Theatre and Media, Communications, and Theatre double major Cayden Wall’s!

🎭 Tell us about the show:
Three friends return to dig up a time capsule they buried eight years ago, back when there were four of them. One of their friends vanished without a trace, and no one ever discovered what happened. As they attempt to dig up the capsule, they instead find something truly disturbing that puts everyone on edge.

📣 What’s your favorite part about directing this one act?
Working with my friends because they’re so talented and fun to be around! Never a dull moment with them!

Jeffery is a freshman Theatre major, and Corey is a sophomore Computer Web Systems major.

Two hitmen are left in a safe house waiting for information on their next target. As they wait they receive an unexpected and very bizarre message from the dumbwaiter. Where did it come from? Who wrote it? When will they get their cue?

Farewell!👋 Been swell!🫡

What an unforgettable run of The Drowsy Chaperone! This show has been such a joy from start to finish, and we are beyond grateful for the incredible cast and crew who made it all happen. Your talent, hard work, and heart made this production something truly special and we couldn’t have asked for a better team.

Thank you to every single audience member who came out to support us. Your laughter, energy, and encouragement are what make live theatre so magical, and we are so grateful you shared this experience with us!

Congratulations to Cayden Walls on a successful senior capstone and for all the hard work put into this production. And thank you to Tabitha Huffman for the leadership that continues to make TLC the best theatre around!
