About us:
Cilla has been painting since she was a little girl. Lots of art classes in school and some of them were quite good. She never imagined she would become “ an artist”. She trained in education and taught for many years in small independent schools from spring valley New York to Auckland, New Zealand. The teaching was wonderful as she was able to create lessons, plays, poems and art with her classes. But she was not done looking for lifes’ treasures…so she went to London to study eurythmy, a special form of movement taught worldwide in Waldorf schools. That was a big adventure, full of barriers and hurdles and intrigue at times. Creating with her classes was truly rewarding…but she knew it was merely a stepping stone in life. A beautiful one, but not the destination she sought.
She found Network Spinal Analysis, a gentle form of chiropractic that is a cross between laying on of hands healing , chiropractic and energy work. Wheeee….that was a ride.
As her life unfolded she was drawn back to painting. She realized that it was so freeing to put paint to paper and let her imagination play. The interaction between the colors, shapes and space were heaven!
She is an intuitive artist, getting out of the way with the mental chatter and simply playing. No judging. No plans. Just curiosity and play and loving the colors!!!
Cilla plays with acrylic paint, collage, cold wax medium and fluid art.
“ It’s never too late to discover another technique or artist or style” is her motto.
Carl had a dream many many years ago about a kind of painting where the colors ran together and formed beautiful shapes and forms…a kind of abstract art he had never seen before. Shortly after that he and his wife, Lavonne had a daughter…the baby of the family. Marcy loved art and as she grew up and was encouraged to follow her dreams, she became mixed media girl, Marcy Ferro, with almost one million followers. at some point carl worked for her and also began to create a few paintings of his own. He was very popular and his paintings sold quickly. By the time he met Cilla he considered his art to be in the form of ideas and poems. After they married it became apparent that carl had a passion for creating his own original fluid art…and so an artist was born! Carl is spontaneous and quick and impulsive when he paints…the results can be seen in his paintings.
