Wine Walk Sip, Sample, Stroll & Shop at the Pinehurst Wine Walk – Saturday, May 19th, 2012 The layout of the event itself will be in keeping with our golfing roots.

On Saturday evening, May 19th the Village of Pinehurst will be transformed into 18 “holes” or tasting stops. Each “hole” will feature a wine or food sample matched to the personality of the boutique business location.

The Wines are in and the selection is wonderful. Sampling will include California, Oregon, Chile, Australia and even some Argentina wines - WOW! It's going to be another evening to sip and stroll in Pinehurst.

It's going to be a beautiful evening to Sip and Sample in Pinehurst tomorrow night. Everyone is so excited... there are only about 30 tickets left for the Wine Walk. Wow!

The Wines have been selected.... Not to spill the beans, but there are some really great labels being represented this year. Just wanted to give you a sneak peek. Some of the ones you'll see are Ecco Domani, Mirassou, Alamos, Don Miguel Gascon and Dancing Bull. And the variety is great! I've seen several of the popular Malbec's along with Cabernet, Pino's, Zin and Shiraz for reds and whites run the gamut from light and bubbly bruts, Pinot Grigios and of course Chardonnays. YUM!

Where there is wine, there should be food.... not only can you sip, but you can sample as many of our local chefs and restaurants will be providing samples off their menus paired with a wine all offered at the retail botique locations. Some of the restaurants providing tasty samples are the Thai Basil, Pine Crest Inn, Lady Bedford's Tea Room, Red Door Cafe, Magnolia Inn and the Ryder Cup Lounge. Stay tuned as the chefs decide what to share.
