Thank You for an Incredible 2nd Annual Art Auction Fundraiser! ✨

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, bid generously, donated artwork, and helped make this year’s Art Auction Fundraiser such a wonderful success. Your enthusiasm and support for the arts strengthen our community and help sustain the programs and performances that make Stissing Center a vibrant cultural home.

Join celebrated pianist Sophia Zhou and friends on June 20 for a performance filled with sweeping melodies, jazzy rhythms, and timeless songs that capture the spirit of America. Both classic and refreshingly modern, Gershwin’s music comes to life through Sophia’s warmth, elegance, and gift for storytelling at the piano.

This Saturday at 10am, we invite you and your family to join us for The Art Effect’s Children’s Stop-Motion Animation Workshop, the first event in our free Summer Children’s Series!

Create your own short animated film while exploring storytelling, movement, and visual creativity, presented in partnership with The Art Effect from Poughkeepsie. Part of Pine Plains Community Day! Also check out our local Youth Art Show, on display from 10am-2pm!

Throughout the summer, Stissing Center invites children and families to join us for our Summer Children’s Series, a collection of free or pay-what-you-can performances and workshops designed to spark imagination, creativity, curiosity, and fun. Lights, camera, action! 🎬✨

Kick off the Stissing Center Summer Children’s Series with a FREE Children’s Stop-Motion Animation Workshop on June 13! Young creators will explore the wild and wacky world of “humanimation”—using their own bodies to create amazing stop-motion videos. Float through the air, try silly movements, and bring your imagination to life!

Best of all? Every participant takes home their very own animation at the end of the workshop.

This pay-what-you-can event is part of Pine Plains Community Day, so come celebrate creativity, community, and lots of fun! 🌟
