🌟☀️Good morning Dance Family and what an incredibly beautiful morning it is!! ☀️🌟We have blue skies and sunshine forecast for a few days in a row, and on a weekend no less!! 🙏🏻😃💛 I wanted to post some important dates and times as we are getting down to the final THREE WEEKS (!!) till SHOWTIME! 🌟
TUESDAY 5/19: There is no school due to a superintendent’s conference day. HOWEVER, there IS DANCE THIS Tuesday.
WEDNESDAY 5/20: Dance picture pick up at the studio! 4-7 pm. There is no obligation to purchase. All photos are pre printed. Come check them out and purchase what you wish or none at all. They accept cash, check, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google pay.
Miss Sarah’s Wednesday classes have 3 MAKE UP CLASSES beginning this Thursday. Whatever time your child dances on Wednesday, they come at the same time on Thursday 5/21, 5/28 and 6/4 (at the studio)
*THERE IS NO DANCE ON MONDAY 5/25 in recognition of Memorial Day 🇺🇸❤️*
WEDNESDAY 5/27 all classes will have a turn practicing AT THE HIGH SCHOOL. This is NOT a dress rehearsal. This is just an opportunity for each class to get a chance to stage their dances and for our first timers to see what it’s like being up on the stage. I am posting the class times below. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE NOT YOUR NORMAL CLASS TIMES AND THAT MOST TIMESLOTS ARE ONLY 15 TO 30 MINUTES LONG. PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO STAY AS THE TIME GOES BY QUICKLY RATHER THAN DROP OFF AND PICK UP.
JAZZ I: 4:00
JAZZ II/III: 4:30
JAZZ ADV: 5:00
COMBO I: 5:30
COMBO II/III: 5:50
TAP I: 6:10
MIDDLE SCHOOL TAP: 6:30
TAP II/III: 6:45
*TAP INT: 7:00-7:30
*TEEN TAP: 7:15-7:45
*JAZZ ADV (comes back to practice opening): 7:15-7:30
*ADULTS: 7:15-8:00
*These four classes are participating in the opening, and I am STRONGLY encouraging (pleading with basically 🤪) every one to attend. This is a tough opening to put together with four different classes and this will be our only chance to stage it prior to Dress Rehearsal Saturday morning.
These FOUR classes will also practice the opening together - AT THE STUDIO - on Wednesday 6/3 from 6-6:30. Please make every effort to attend this 30 min class. (Sarah’s Tap Int (the 5:00 class) will stay an extra 30 minutes on Wednesday 6/3).
SATURDAY 6/6: Dress Rehearsal at the HIGH SCHOOL at 9 am. Please wear costume. We will start by staging and putting together the finale which takes a good chunk of time. Once that is all set, we will run through the show start to finish. We will NOT repeat the finale at the end. So when your child is finished with their second number, you are free to leave. Please keep in mind this is your child’s only opportunity to “watch the show”. The night of the show they will be backstage in the music room. They will NOT be permitted to sit in the audience at any time during the actual recital.
RECITAL 6/6 at 7:00. Tickets will be sold at the door. This is a BENEFIT for the Stissing Theatre Guild. The Stissing Loft does NOT profit from recital ticket sales. All proceeds go to the Theatre Guild and senior scholarships.
