Last day to sign up!

Our week long art camp is finally here!
Next week, we will be doing using paper mache, model magic, puffy paint, yarn for weaving, watercolors, and so much more!

This will be at my house in Pine Mountain - I will send a message for the address for those that sign up.

Registration ends on June 15th so I have time to prep and make sure I have enough supplies. To register for this one, just send me a PM if you want to join us, with the payment. (I do take other payment options if CashApp does not work for you.)

Saturday, June 8th, we will be creating Lego Portraits!!!!

Students will learn about proportions, facial expressions, using cardboard as a sculpture medium, and adding details to our characters to really make them stand out. We will be using tempera paint, and although it is washable, please dress your kiddos accordingly!

This will be outside at Cascade Hill park; currently, the weather looks GREAT and it shouldn't be too hot out. With that said, please have your kids bring water to stay hydrated.

Registration ends on June 6th so I have time to prep and make sure I have enough supplies - this includes signing up on this form AND payment: https://forms.gle/2hts78QgYwaro4K6A
(I'm only accepting the first ten students who sign up.)

This week has been BUSY, but I finally have some more details on our next art classes.

I know location was a big deal, so next Saturday we will be in Columbus at Cascade Hills Park. They don't do reservations there so I will be there as soon as they open - please don't come too early though as I will need time to set up. Looks like the weather will be beautiful and overcast!

I will only be doing a 4-day camp on the week of the 17-21st so please keep that in mind (Wednesday we will not meet up). It will be at my house in Pine Mountain, same times listed as before.

I had a few ask about possible dates in July, and the only one I will be able to do is on the 13th. I will keep an eye out of weather, and if we can, we will have it at Cascade Hills Park. If not, it will be at my house. If you are INTERESTED in this date, please fill out this form and let me know if location matters for you: https://forms.gle/JqWvs52FZAo11X3X9

Thanks for everyone who came out today! ❤️ it was a small group but I appreciated it since this was my first ever art camp.
Thank you Rachel for reminding me to take pics 😆 I of course forgot to and didn’t until near the end.
-We practiced dry-on-wet and wet-on-wet watercolor techniques as we created our oceans.
-We did a directed drawing of a turtle with pencil, traced with sharpie, and then used oil pastels to add some texture to the skin. We then painted with watercolor over our oil pastel to create a wax resist.
-Then, we did scrape art/wax resist to create the painted paper for the shells.
-We attempted bubble art (mix of white paint, glue, and water) to add bubbles to our blue paper 🤪
-Then, we cut up our shell painted paper to add to our turtle. Cut out our turtle and added it to the blue paper. Some added crowns, wings, etc. because WHY NOT? 👌

In between our turtle project drying, we did some drawing and the girls created more painted papers with tempera paints and their hands OF COURSE! 😂

Last two pics were my examples. I loved doing this project because it allowed all the girls to do different things all while using all kinds of materials and techniques in different ways. Thanks, ladies, for being my first summer students!

It's time to let your child's creativity flourish! Ms. Ashlie is offering classes designed to increase her student's visual perception, confidence, listening skills, problem-solving, and self-esteem through a variety of art media and techniques.
On Saturdays, we will be dabbling into drawing and painting during our 3 hour session.
We also have 4-day, 3 hour art camps where we will do some type of sculpture, lots of painting, and build on our drawing skills.

You can fill out the interest form here and see what dates are currently available:

Looks like a lot of people are open to both, but preferably Saturdays.
I’m looking to start on June 1st then as long as the venue is available, and I think I will offer both Saturdays as an individual class and then a cluster of days during the week as a WHOLE for bigger projects. 🙂
I will try to give you exact dates and times and costs by the end of this week! Thanks for being patient with me.

Hi, everyone!
I had made a message previously to see interest but I also asked about days but I think everyone missed it.
So: what are you looking for in an art camp? I am looking at either doing multiple days during the week day (like Monday-Friday) or every Saturday of the summer?
If I do every Saturday, you could pick which Saturdays you want to do but I’ll make sure the project we work on is finished. If we do something like “Monday-Friday,” we will work on multiple projects throughout that week like paper mache so you would be paying for which weeks you wanted to have your kids in.
Hope that makes sense…
Tagging those who mentioned interest, but feel free to share with others.
