🔥A warm welcome to Kristen of Art o Fire ! 🔥 Here’s a bit about Kristen and her journey to ceramics!

There’s a particular kind of beauty that comes from things made slowly, by hand, with attention paid to texture and light — and that’s exactly what Kristen brings to our shelves.

Raised in the French countryside before settling in California, Kristen grew up surrounded by simplicity and craft, and it shows in every piece she makes. After a detour through the jewelry industry and a purchasing and bookkeeping career, she found her way back to the studio — first through Studio Art at UCSB, and now through Artofire, her line of handcrafted ceramics and hand-poured soy candles made right here in Pine Mountain Club.

Her pottery favors natural, drippy glazes — dusty rose, sage, indigo, and cloud-white — the kind that look like they were pulled straight from a mountain stream. Mugs, bowls, and little dishes, each one thrown and finished by hand, built to be used and loved for years. Alongside the ceramics, her soy candles carry the same grounded, earthy spirit — scents like Moonflower Nectar and Black Sea, poured in small batches.

We’re so glad to have her work — and her story — under our roof.
