My services are not intended to be the focal point of my performance. The focus point should always be on the client & their guests.

Today's d.j.'s need lighting effects that highlight their system. Today's d.j.s need the online music library, to play on their state of the art mixer, so they can play it on their convenient small lightweight speakers that hook up in seconds & is easy for the d.j. to load in & load out.
To finish it off, todays D.J.s need their selfies, pictures & videos, to promote themselves on their social media sights.

While the Traditional D.J., has a system they spent years perfecting, to play a music library that they spent yrs collecting, to play for their client & the clients guest, not worried about the work involved loading in & loading out.
To finish it off, traditional D.J.'s love to share their love for music, using the music the client & guests requested & enjoy.

Right when I thought I was pretty much done with D.J.ing, this woman, Amy, came into my life & resparked my love for music & d.j.ing. I'm so glad I'm still doing it & I'm so glad she's enjoying it with me. (9/29/18)

Here's some djing truth.

"Today's mobile djs" . . . spend more time looking prettier then their compition while trying to make their physical part of their job easier. "That's where YOUR money goes!"

"Today's mobile djs" . . . feel their "Look" & their "Style", is more important then the actual "craft" of being a mobile disc jockey.

The CRAFT of a "mobile disc jockey" is to play the clients & guests music & preform the scheduled activities. Lighting & effects, inhance the music but SHOULD NOT highlight your dj. Your money SHOULD NOT be going to glorify the djs appearance. "You SHOULD want to pay for throwing a spectacular party, hosted by you." Your mobile dj is there to inhance your event, give you a successful event while keeping YOUR costs down.

I played a lot of "garage-sale-bought" music with through the yrs.

I even used "garage-sale-bought" equipment through the yrs. It was all part of the fun, of becoming the disc jockey I am today.

I just can't picture "Today,s D.J.'s", spending weekends, going to yard sales, looking at records, cds, cassettes, trying to find lost treasures, collections. Do "Today,s D.J.'s" actually spend long periods of time learning about OTHER genre's, OTHER yrs.?

It seems "Today,s D.J.'s" spend most their time learning how to alter artists work, prefect crossovers & look for ways to have "popular" music handed to them so they don't have to waste their time looking for it.

"Traditional D.J.'s", enjoy seeing a crowd . . enjoying the music. The same music that the "Traditional D.J.'s" grew up loving. The same music that made that d.j. . . become a d.j.. Both the guests & the d.j., enjoying the music that the HOST, the CLIENT, has requested.

Today's djs want to prove who THEY are.

A traditional dj, just wants to inhance their CLEINTS events!

So many of today's d.j.'s think their clients & the guests want a memorable performance from the disc jockey themself.

While most clients & the guests only want the d.j. to add to the atmosphere, creating a memorable event, hosted by that client.

There is a difference!

Guests should leave your event saying,
"YOU know how to throw a great EVENT!",
not, "Your D.J. was great."
(There is a diffrence!)

Today's D.J.'s spend more time working on THEIR reputation, trying to do, say anything that will put the spotlight on them. The disc jockeys only looking for a tiktok, Facebook picture, anything to promote their own business.

For your event, that disc Jockey thought process may hurt your event. Your event is not about the d.j., it's about hearing the music & having the activities that you & your guests suggested & requested be a part of YOUR event.

(Guests should leave your event saying "That was a GREAT event!", not, "That was a great D.J.!")
