🚨 Interested in serving on the Pine Island Cheese Festival Board of Directors? 🚨



Serving on the Board starts with getting involved, and it’s time to elect our 2026-2027 Pine Island Cheese Festival Board of Directors!



Per our current bylaws, Board candidates should have prior leadership experience as a Committee Chair, or have comparable experience serving on another festival or nonprofit board. This helps ensure Board members have an understanding of the planning, coordination, and commitment it takes to make the Pine Island Cheese Festival a success. Board positions have a 2-year term, and current open positions are President (currently held by Terrilynn Sutherland), Treasurer (currently held by Lindsay Johnson), and Secretary (currently held by Kylee Thiede).



If you've been thinking about becoming more involved, now is a great time to join a committee and help shape the future of Cheese Fest!



Please send your interest to [email protected] by 5pm CST on July 29. Ballots will be sent to the Cheese Festival Planning Committee for voting July 30-31, and the 2026-2027 Board of Directors will be announced at our monthly meeting on August 3rd at 7pm at Trailhead Grill and Lanes.



For those simply interested in joining the Cheese Festival Planning Committee to be involved but not in a Board position, simply let us know at [email protected] and we will add you to our communications distribution list. We currently meet the first Monday of every month at 7pm at Trailhead Grill and Lanes!



Many hands make light work, and we love to have new faces, ideas, and people to help continue to grow the Pine Island Cheese Festival!

LRS, our portable bathrooms service, found a phone that they were able to recover and called the emergency contact and left a message, and called the last person called “Nate” but they didn’t answer. If this is your phone we have it for you and can coordinate a pick up.

🇺🇸 A huge THANK YOU to Nextera for sponsoring the 90th Annual Pine Island Cheese Festival Parade! 🇺🇸

This year, we're celebrating two historic milestones—the 90th anniversary of the Pine Island Cheese Festival and America's 250th birthday. To mark the occasion, we're hosting a Patriotic Float Contest, and parade-goers can expect to see plenty of 🇺🇸 red, white, and blue 🇺🇸 throughout the parade route!

We are also honored to recognize the Pine Island Vietnam Veterans as this year's Grand Marshals. These veterans answered our nation's call to serve during one of the most challenging periods in American history. Their sacrifices, courage, and dedication deserve our deepest gratitude and respect.



On behalf of the Pine Island Cheese Festival and the entire community, thank you to our Vietnam Veterans for your service.
