Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas

Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas Changing Lives through Creativity! The ARTx3 Campus serves as a cultural crossroad:
Engaging, Educating, and Entertaining through the arts and sciences.
(350)

The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas was founded in 1968, made a commission of the City of Pine Bluff in 1971, and accredited with the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) in 2001. ASC presents programming in the visual arts, performing arts, and the sciences through exhibits, performances, classes, and local partnerships. Education programming occurs on and off site and area schools are

encouraged to visit for free exhibition tours and hands-on activities. Classes are offered for children, youth, and adults with scholarships available. Gallery admission and family programming such as Second Saturday Family FunDay are free—thanks to sponsors, successful grant writing, and the generosity of the local community.

Our first group of Theater Camp Jr. campers spent last week building confidence, learning theater skills, making new friends, and bringing their creativity to life. From fun camp activities to an amazing showcase performance, these young stars truly shined on stage!

A huge thank you to our campers, families, facilitators, and supporters for making this week such a success. ❤️

🎭 Meet the Cast of Shrek the Musical 💚

Briar Thompson (Peter Pan)- Briar is excited to be back on the Catherine M. Bellamy Stage! He was last seen at the ARTx3 Campus as “Kratos” in Prometheus Bound in the Adam B. Robinson Jr Black Box Theater. Since then, he has worked behind the scenes providing lighting design for Finding Nemo Jr. and The Lion King Jr. Briar hopes you enjoy the show and encourages everyone to “let their freak flag fly”!

Olivia Thompson (Fairy Godmother)- Olivia is thrilled to appear in Shrek the Musical! Her favorite past roles include “Timon” in The Lion King Jr., “Martha” in The Miracle Worker, “Tad’s Parent” in Finding Nemo Jr, and performances in Miracle on Main (2024 & 2025). When she’s not on stage, Olivia enjoys singing, playing guitar, and life on the farm. Homeschooled and full of creativity, she loves every opportunity to grow as a performer.

William Wesley Wofford (Big Bad Wolf)- William is thrilled to venture into the swamp at ARTx3! He recently appeared in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with Murry’s Playhouse. This summer, he’s juggling multiple productions, including Guys & Dolls and Man-Eater, proving he thrives in a little chaos. He loves bringing bold, mischievous characters to life. William works as a photographer and videographer, growing Wil Wes Studios. William promises he only transforms into a wolf on stage… most of the time.
