rived in Ajo five years ago from the New York City Metropolitan area to be nearer her daughter and son. She began to see a need in the Ajo community for a place to shop locally. Your first impression will be the full wrap-around mural on the front of the building by artist Lone Wolf. Shopping here is almost serene, but visually stimulating. Yellow and lavender colors form an attractive backdrop for the displays. Soft music and subtle aromatic scents complete the experience. When you walk through the door, you can expect a warm welcome. Captivated by wild places, artist Kristin Carrroccino brings her new Image transfers to aVita boutique gallery. Her photos have been published in Soul by Southwest, the literary journal of the Seminary of the Southwest, and on the covers of several books. She has exhibited her photographs and image transfers in Seattle and Ajo. Having lived and photographed in Alabama, Utah, New Hampshire, Washington, Texas and now Arizona, she is rarely without her cameras.

The second December event at aVita was so hot! and the feeling was warm and wonderful - "Playing with Fire" - Curley School Artist Zee Galliano presented her mixed-metal, hand fabricated jewelry and gave a demonstration of Viking Knit to the large crowd attending. She also treated us all with her roasted tasting samples including chocolate chili bites. Music by Ajo Nova did light our fire and was so much fun. If you missed it, you can still see Zee's work at aVita. The prices are great for these stunning pieces.
"Sweet" event at aVita on Dec. 1 . Cory Celaya was our guest artist for the trunk show. Beautiful presentation and many items retained for sale in the store.
