💪🏼 Barbell Basics – Girls Strength Program
Barbell Basics is a beginner-friendly strength training program designed to teach girls ages 11-15 the fundamentals of weightlifting in a safe, supportive, and confidence-building environment. This program focuses on proper movement patterns, technique, and body awareness before adding resistance, helping participants develop a strong foundation for lifelong fitness.
Throughout the month, participants will learn:
Proper warm-up and mobility routines
Gym etiquette and weight room safety
Correct body positioning and lifting mechanics
Fundamental movements including:
Squats
Deadlifts
Presses
Rows, and carries
How to safely use barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and other fitness equipment
Core strength and stability exercises
Breathing and bracing techniques for safe lifting
The importance of recovery, hydration, and nutrition for active youth
In addition to physical strength, participants will build confidence, discipline, resilience, and a positive relationship with exercise. Coaches will emphasize proper form, teamwork, and personal growth, ensuring every participant feels successful regardless of previous athletic experience.
No prior weightlifting experience is required. This program is ideal for beginners, young athletes looking to improve performance, or any girl interested in learning how to exercise safely and effectively in a weight room setting.
