💪🏼 Barbell Basics – Girls Strength Program

Barbell Basics is a beginner-friendly strength training program designed to teach girls ages 11-15 the fundamentals of weightlifting in a safe, supportive, and confidence-building environment. This program focuses on proper movement patterns, technique, and body awareness before adding resistance, helping participants develop a strong foundation for lifelong fitness.

Throughout the month, participants will learn:
Proper warm-up and mobility routines
Gym etiquette and weight room safety
Correct body positioning and lifting mechanics
Fundamental movements including:
Squats
Deadlifts
Presses
Rows, and carries
How to safely use barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and other fitness equipment
Core strength and stability exercises
Breathing and bracing techniques for safe lifting
The importance of recovery, hydration, and nutrition for active youth

In addition to physical strength, participants will build confidence, discipline, resilience, and a positive relationship with exercise. Coaches will emphasize proper form, teamwork, and personal growth, ensuring every participant feels successful regardless of previous athletic experience.

No prior weightlifting experience is required. This program is ideal for beginners, young athletes looking to improve performance, or any girl interested in learning how to exercise safely and effectively in a weight room setting.

Join us for the first-ever Armfield Acting Academy Performing Arts Camp!

Whether your child loves to perform, tell stories, or simply wants to build confidence in front of others, this week-long performing arts camp is the perfect opportunity to explore the world of acting, creativity, and self-expression.

June 22-26, 2026
Armfield Acting Academy Jr.: Ages 5-7
9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Armfield Acting Academy: Ages 8-18
2:00 PM-5:00 PM

ARC Members: $75
Non-Members: $100

Participants should bring a snack and water bottle each day.

This fun-filled week will focus on acting games, character development, improvisation, confidence building, and performance skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. The week will conclude with a small performance for friends and family!
