A farewell on wheels in Pigeon Forge. 🧡

Cooter’s Pigeon Forge shared this bittersweet sight: the General Lee and Daisy’s Jeep loaded onto a trailer, preparing to head to their new home at Cooter’s in Nashville.

For fans who stopped in for a little Hazzard County nostalgia—or a photo with those familiar vehicles—this makes the farewell feel a little more real.

Cooter’s began its Smoky Mountain chapter in Gatlinburg in 2002 before later moving to Pigeon Forge. Now, the Pigeon Forge location is in its final season, with closing planned for the end of 2026. The Nashville and Luray, Virginia, locations will continue welcoming fans.

🍁 A little preview of things to come in the Smokies!

These gorgeous fall colors were captured this morning along the Blue Ridge Parkway near Banner Elk, North Carolina—and Mother Nature even added a rainbow! 🌈😍

While this is over in North Carolina, it’s getting us excited for more autumn color around Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smokies. Every elevation puts on its own show!

A little winter has slipped into our Smoky Mountain fall! LeConte Lodge shared these snowy views this morning, October 17, reporting a low of 27° with wind chills in the teens. 🥶

Heading up the mountain today? The lodge urges hikers to come prepared for chilly conditions.

Before the stages, the spotlights, and a theme park bearing her name… there was a little mountain home. 🏡❤️

Have you ever stopped here at Dollywood?

Behind the flowers and weathered porch of the Tennessee Mountain Home is a story worth slowing down for.

This two-room cabin in Rivertown Junction is a replica of Dolly Parton’s childhood home in Locust Ridge, here in Sevier County. The original had no electricity or running water—conditions that help put the family’s daily work and limited resources into perspective.

But the detail that makes this place especially personal? Dolly’s own family helped recreate it.

Her brother built the replica, and her mother recreated the interior, choosing furnishings that reflected the home she remembered. Most of the items are replicas, selected to give visitors a glimpse into the family’s everyday life.

Imagine helping recreate the little house where you raised your children—and knowing people from around the world would come to learn about it.

The sign out front explains why this home belongs at Dollywood: these mountains and Dolly’s childhood home helped inspire her music and her life. 🦋

It’s easy to fill a park day with rides, shows, and cinnamon bread. But this porch deserves a moment, too. Read the sign, look at the details, and think about how far a dream can travel while staying connected to home.
