What a great day of music making alongside talented choir students from Albany, Foley, Little Falls, Milaca, Pequot Lakes, Pierz, and St. Cloud Cathedral. Events like these are such a powerful reminder of how music brings schools and communities together.

Calling all 9-12 Grade Pierz Pioneer girls interested in singing! We have an awesome group called Bella Voce for you to join. Read the information below!

What does Bella Voce Mean? - Bella Voce is Italian for "Beautiful Voice"

Who Can Join?
Bella Voce is open to all 9th-12th grade girls! No audition is required, and you don't need any prior singing experience to join. If you love music or are curious about singing, this is the perfect group for you!

Rehearsal Schedule
This group will meet 1-2 times a week in the morning from 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM. The exact days we rehearse will be determined based on the availability of the students who sign up.

What We Sing
Bella Voce performs a wide variety of music, from familiar tunes to exciting new pieces you may not recognize. We aim to explore different genres and styles to make our performances diverse and engaging.

Performance Opportunities
Bella Voce performs at every high school concert throughout the year. Our first concert is the Fall 9-12 Choir Concert on October 28. This is a fantastic chance to showcase your talent and be part of something special!

How to Join
Signing up is easy! Simply put your name, school email, and the mornings you are available on the sign-up sheet located outside the choir room doors. Joining isn’t just available at the beginning of the year. You can join at the beginning of the year, after the Fall, Christmas, or Winter Concerts!

Things to Consider Before Joining
Your Schedule: Can you consistently attend morning rehearsals?
Transportation: Do you have a reliable way to get to school early for rehearsals? Consider if a parent, guardian, sibling, or friend can provide a ride.

Hello everyone! My name is Derek Bebeau, and I am thrilled to join the Pierz School District and Music Department as your new 5-12 Grade Choir Director. Music, and specifically Vocal Music, is my passion and I can’t wait to share that with all of you!

I graduated from Bemidji State University in 2018 with degrees in Vocal Music Education and Vocal Performance. This will be my 6th year of teaching. My last 4 years were spent in my hometown district of Redwood Falls MN teaching 5-12 Grade Choir and General Music.

I’m very excited to announce that we’ll be putting on the high school musical "Honk!" This hilarious and heartwarming adaptation of "The Ugly Duckling" is sure to be a hit. Auditions will be on September 11 and 12, and I encourage all high school students regardless of choir or singing experience to audition! Performances are on November 14, 15, and 17. Put those dates in your calendar!

Outside of school, I love to golf, fish, and BBQ, which is great because Thielen Meats is by far my favorite place to shop!!

My wife Alle, and I just bought a home in Brainerd where she works as a Speech Pathologist. We enjoy singing together any chance we get, spending time out on the lake and going on adventures with our dog Donner.

I’m genuinely excited to be part of such a supportive and vibrant community here in Pierz. I look forward to creating memorable musical experiences and building strong connections with students, parents, and community members. Let’s make this year an unforgettable one with fantastic music and wonderful memories!
