I've been trying to get a good photo of this for a while! Dark oil paintings are notoriously difficult to photograph because of the glare!

The original has found a home with the owner of Mac's Carnival and Attractions, but it's now on my website under "Landscape and Cityscape" and available for prints.

Oh, and I have a title. Thank you, Jackie! She suggested it (sort of accidentally, I think) when she commented that the painting made her feel like she was along for the ride 😎🎡

My buyer sent me this photo showing how she framed and displayed the original of "The Way Across."

I've said this before, but I always appreciate when my buyers share what they've done with my work, be it original or print. It's so gratifying seeing that my art is adding beauty and meaning to homes in our community and beyond.

And isn't this a cool frame? She found it at a thrift store!

Yesterday Pierre mayor Todd Johnson took home the original of "The Grain Elevator". I'm so happy for him to have it, as it represents a lot of history to him personally and to our community here in Pierre.
