The countdown is on, just 2 more days until Pierceton bursts into tomato-filled celebration!

The Heirloom Tomato Festival happens this Saturday, August 22, from 10 AM to 4 PM in Brower Park.

Come for the tomatoes, stay for the live music, contests and games, art, vendors, local history, and plenty of food.

Whether you're racing for a personal best or strolling with friends, it's a good way to kick off festival day.

Start/Finish: Brower Park
Race Day Check-In: 8:00–8:40 AM
Race Begins: 9:00 AM
Entry Fee: $30
Prizes: $25 for overall male & female winners, plus additional awards for top finishers in age categories

Explore the Agricultural Art Show inside the historic Old Train Depot, where local artists celebrate the spirit of the land through all forms of media.

Open to all ages and artistic styles
Artwork must reflect an agricultural theme
$5 entry | Age divisions: Youth & Adult

Drop off entries: Friday, August 21 from 4–8 PM at The Old Train Depot

Two ways to win:
Juried prizes awarded by judges based on creativity, originality, and overall composition
People's Choice Award voted on by festivalgoers during the event

Enter these crowd favorites at the Heirloom Tomato Festival:

Largest Tomato
Freaks of the Vine – Oddest, funniest, or just plain weirdest tomato
The Big Bad & The Ugly – Largest tomato hornworm (must be alive and in a jar!)

Submit entries inside The Old Train Depot. Judging starts at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 22. Just show up, no pre-registration needed.

PLUS: The Cherry Tomato Spitting Contest! Prizes awarded for longest distance in each age category, so bring your best spit game.
