Dear Dance Families,
After 35 wonderful years of owning Pickerington Dance Academy, I’m writing to share some bittersweet news: I will be retiring this fall.
While it’s hard to say goodbye, I’m thrilled to announce that Pickerington Dance Academy will be transitioning to Strive Dance Academy, with Miss Kaelyn Bowens as the new Owner and Director. I have every confidence that Miss Kaelyn will carry on our legacy with passion, care, and creativity. She’ll be renting the same facility, so your dance home and location will remain the same.
I’ll continue teaching summer classes and camp through July, and I look forward to spending that time with your dancers!
It has been the honor of a lifetime to teach, mentor, and grow alongside so many incredible students. I will miss them most of all—and that’s why this goodbye is so hard… even though I am happy about retiring!
Of course, I will always dance, it will just be in my kitchen now!

Our Competition Team had a great time at Nexstar Talent this weekend, and earned many awards: Regional Champion, Highest score in Technique, a WOW Award, 1st Place's in Overalls, Top 5's, all Platinums, Golden Ticket invites to attend the World Dance Championship, and the Wild Dance Intensive, and Judges Choice Award! Way to Go Dancers!

Our competition team had a fun weekend competing at Showstopper! They received Platinums, First places, Top 10 in Overalls!
Awesome dancing dancers!

Congratulations to our Competition Team! They attended Rising Star Talent and did awesome! Platinums, High Golds, Top 5 Overalls, and Judges Choice awards!
