We started out making our own stands but with the cost of materials I have found this option better and more affordable as well as more versatile.
I will make a post for the DIY Backdrop Stand listing materials and cost.
Affordable Backdrop Stand from Amazon listed below. Holds curtains, shimmer walls, boxwood panels and any other type of backdrop out there. The base is wide and flat... table legs won't be bothered with them and these are adjustable. The prices for these have dropped dramatically. This particular package includes clamps and water weights to better secure the backdrop.

If you want a more brilliant red balloon, stuff it with a chrome gold or silver balloon of the same size.
This technique works in any color balloon that is translucent. (Balloons you can see through)
