Meet the cast of Kiss Me Kate!

Tom Pitt (First Man / “Aide to Katherine”) - Tom is excited to return to the Forge Stage in this classic Cole Porter musical that has such a wonderful and talented cast and production team. You may remember previous performances; Mr. Kirby (You Can’t Take it With You), Dennis / Perkins (The Play that Goes Wrong), or Daddy Warbucks (Annie). As always, Tom dedicates his performance to his two supporting Angels; His mom, who gave him his love of singing and Dr. William Gile a director, mentor, and friend who turned an interest in theater into a passion that can never be extinguished. Though both are gone, they are certainly not forgotten. Finally, thanks to my wife Liz who still laughs at my jokes and encourages me daily … you are my best friend, I love you.

Tom Groves (Second Man / “Aide to Katherine”) - Tom has been involved in community theater for a while now and always enjoys an opportunity to work with amazing people on an amazing project. He would like to especially thank Marsha and Tom for giving his tired pipes the opportunity to sing to the rafters and tread the boards at Forge again. It means the world. Tom would also love to send thanks and love to Ruth, Lily, and Phoebe for the support they give that enables him to play at this crazy thing.

Meet the cast of Kiss Me Kate!

Peter Phillips (Bill Calhoun / Lucentio) – Peter is thrilled to return to the Forge Theatre stage—especially in a role that allows him to sing, dance, gamble and make questionable decisions, though preferably not all at once. Previous Forge credits include Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace, Hameo in Shakespeare in the Trailer Park, Musidorus in Head Over Heels, and appearances in The 1940s Radio Hour and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Other favorite roles include Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Ash Theater Company)and Dennis in All Shook Up (Barley Sheaf Players). When he isn’t performing in traditional theatre, Peter travels throughout the Northeast presenting educational shows for children—which involves slightly fewer gangsters and significantly less Shakespeare. He sends his love to his kids—Virginia, Annabelle and Dilan. 🎲🎲 Losing my heart to my sweet Bianca, on stage and off. Cantiamo d’amore!

Meet the cast of Kiss Me Kate!

Kim Cafarella (Lois Lane / Bianca) - Kim is delighted to return to the Forge stage! Previous Forge credits include Once Upon a Mattress (Jester), Godspell (Ensemble/Turn Back O' Man Soloist), Shakespeare in the Trailer Park (Barbie-Q Bacon), Head Over Heels (Mopsa), All Shook Up (Mayor Matilda Hyde), and Avenue Q (Bad Idea Bear). She is thrilled to play opposite her favorite scene partner on and off the stage, Pete. While Lois may wonder why Bill can't behave, Kim is happy to report that Pete is always true to her (in his fashion)—and she wouldn't have it any other way. Offstage, Kim is a pediatric speech-language pathologist and university professor. She is grateful to her family, friends, and the Forge community for always supporting her theater adventures.

Meet the cast of Kiss me Kate!

Gregory D. Kasander (Fred Graham / Petruchio) Greg last performed Shakespeare scenes here at Forge Theater in I Hate Hamlet, as Andrew Ralley. This is the third time he has appeared on stage with Anne DiFebbo who gave memorable performances in Sunday in the Park with George and Once Upon a Mattress. So many thanks to the creative staff for trusting him with his first Cole Porter role. Finally!
