Our May 2026 ‘Monthly Techno Mixshow’ features an eighty-minute mix from Kuryente. ➡️ Link in Bio.

Kuryente is the Techno identity of Mark Carranceja, a DJ, producer, filmmaker, and sound artist working at the intersection of rhythm, atmosphere, and electrical tension. His sound is grounded in proper Techno: hard, physical, hypnotic, and uncompromising, while pulling from field recording, sound design, industrial music, experimental cinema, and the raw texture of urban life. Kuryente is not built around spectacle or trend. It is a creative practice rooted in movement, pressure, memory, and the pursuit of a deeper sonic language.

Our April 2026 ‘Monthly Techno Mixshow’ features an eighty-minute mix from Shanti. ➡️ Link in Bio.
Shanti has made textured waves in Chicago’s techno scene with her curation of dark, sinister, and ethereal soundscapes. Music has always been a means of coping with the otherness and hybridity Shanti experienced throughout her life. She has been deeply moved by the transcendent ability of music to express concepts, states of consciousness, and conflicting emotions. Shanti’s sets weave a story of the simultaneous despair and yearning that are intertwined with the human condition and illustrate an intentional trajectory through combining and cultivating surreal, atmospheric, and haunting sounds.
Enamored by the liminal dynamics of sound, she cohosts Otherworldly Ambiguity with Scum.ee - an experience that is centered around the phenomenon of existing in between and outside of pre-existing concepts and rigid categories. She is also a member of techno collective Research & Development and hosts a monthly radio show, “Liminal Radio” on WIIT 88.9 FM featuring thoughtful artists at the core of Chicago’s underground music scene.
She’s had the immense pleasure of conjuring spirits at Chicago’s most beloved clubs such as Smartbar, Smoke & Mirrors, Podlasie Club, and several underground gatherings.
Experiencing music outside of the confines of a club or the underground is extremely important to Shanti as she had initially discovered her favorite artists through online podcasts and radio. The universalizability of podcasts and radio enable music to be experienced by more humans situated in different contexts. This is why she has contributed to many notable online mix series and radio channels. Her mixes have been featured on Dirty Epic LA, The Black Lodge Radio, SutroFM, Mutant Radio, PPRZ, Death Decay & Magic, Braid Records, Low Visibility, Dance All Day, and etc. radio among other podcasts and shows.
This past year, Shanti has expanded her surreal storytelling outside of Chicago by playing in Amsterdam, L.A, Phoenix, Detroit and notable Midwest festivals such as Minnesota’s The Great Beyond and Madison’s Musique Électronique.

Our March 2026 ‘Monthly Techno Mixshow’ features a ninety-minute mix from Nathan Strohkirch. ➡️ Link in Bio.
Nathan Strohkirch began DJing in the late ’90s while attending Michigan State, where he was immersed in the thriving underground scenes of Detroit, Chicago, and Toronto—cities rooted in techno and house. During this time, he played warehouse and club parties across the region, developing a sound centered on techno, tech house, and house.
After relocating from Detroit to Phoenix in 2005, Nathan quickly recognized a gap in the city’s underground scene. In 2010, he launched T3CHNO POOL, curating events that brought together local talent and artists from across the country to push a deeper, more authentic techno sound. Through these events, he shared the stage with respected artists including Derrick Carter, Joris Voorn, Hyperactive, and Dustin Zahn, among others.
When the world shifted in 2020, Nathan adapted by launching a weekly podcast, available at www.hearthis.at/t3chnopool. Today, he continues to support the scene as a performing artist while consistently releasing mixes through the platform.

Our February 2026 ‘Monthly Techno Mixshow’ features a hundred-minute mix from KICK ➡️ Link in Bio

KICK established their reputation after winning the RE/FORM Spring 2025 DJ Discovery Contest. A Detroit native with an ever-present South American heritage, they strike a delicate balance between reverence for Detroit and exposure to global sounds of the future. Well versed in all flavors of hypnotic techno, KICK eloquently executes their role within any lineup
arrangement. Their sound is marked by an invigorating low-end, heavily percussive grooves, atmosphere-coated 3-dimensionality, and mesmerizing psychedelic blends.

They have set the stage as direct support for artists like Kangding Ray, NEKTER, and Elias Garcia, and Karuth, and shared the stage with Julia Govor, Marcel Fengler, STEYA, and Deas.
They have performed in Los Angeles, Detroit, and Grand Rapids, and graced notable Detroit main stages at Leland City Club, TV Lounge, and Spot Lite.
