How to remove fence section
This one section of the fence covers a good chunk of my driveway. As you may have noticed the end post has been hit by multiple different vehicles in the last few years (different renters and such) and since the gate is currently unusable and not really desired at this time, I'd love to remove this section.

I have limited funds, so if I can do it on my own, awesome. I was thinking a saws-all to shorten the top, but not quite positive if that would be wise. Also, any suggestions on the final post removal?

Or is it just best if I find a fencing company?

Fence Panel's 2x4s are bowed
Hello all! I am looking for advice on how to remedy this situation that's happening on my fence. On 2 separate panels, the 2x4s are bowing out and pushing the fence out a little bit. I was wondering if anyone could offer ideas on how to fix this. Most fence companies that came out said this isn't 'repairable' and we need to replace the whole panel section which I find a bit odd as only 1 board is messed up. Any and all advice is appreciated. Fence was put in around 2019/2020 so it's about 6-7 years old.

I’m a absolute rooky but don’t have the funds to pay someone budget is low

I’m willing to put the hard yards in to do this myself because I can’t live with a backyard as a mosquito breeding ground any longer with 3 toddlers itching to get outside

The drainage in the backyard is so bad, both neighbours yards are higher and dry
Mine- first bit of rain it fills up and sits for days / weeks

Any advice would be greatly appreciated- maybe just dumb it down for me as I have no idea what I’m doing lol

My idea at the moment is get a s**t tone of sand delivered- spread out with rake, hopeful to make it on a slight decline to the left of the photo- near the house
Where there is the house gutter run of pipe Is

That pipe goes from roof gutter into pipe that then goes into ground

I’m guessing that then goes to a storm water pipe?
I’m not sure how it all works, I’m just a girl

Once I have that sorted- hopefully then top soil and put grass down

Recommend Rust Neutraliser & Sealer
I have a garage that's underneath my house, with a portion being below my patio. The ceiling of my garage is a slab of concrete, with galvanised steel covering it. The patio above (part of it) has blue stone paver stones on top, but the grouting has worn out badly in some places. I am sending photos of parts of the garage ceiling and patio paver stones.

The problem is when it rains, there is always some water that works its way down from the patio above to my garage ceiling and drips. The result is that the ceiling is now rusting badly in some areas. I intend to scrape off the rust the best I can. However, some rust is behind some piping and is therefore hard to get to, but I'lll try to at least scrape the big chunks of rust out with a long-handle scraper if I can find one.

My question is after I scrape off the rust, what product would you recommend I spray/paint on all the rust areas that I have cleaned off to prevent further rust and neutralise any existing rust that I could not scrape off? Is there something else I should spray/paint afterwards to help with water proofing and sealing? Note: I will get the grouting of the paver stones re-done to prevent further water from leaking through. Also, is it necessary to put a coating on top of the blue paver stones too? (I prefer not to so as to keep the stones from getting slippery with kids running on it). Thanks!

Okay I’m just a girl so be kind! 23 live alone, I own this home so standards can be low it’s not like I have a landlord😂 a crazy wind storm happened last week and the post on the left broke and caused lots of pieces to break too. Yesterday in 100 degree weather I put this together the best I could, I’m not looking for perfection just something to last so my dogs can go in the yard in piece and I don’t have to keep fixing this fence. Did I do okay?

What would you do about this pool if you had an 8-month-old who will soon be a toddler?
I've included photos of the backyard, the view from the house (including sliding door and backdoor that open to the pool/patio), and the pool/patio layout.

I'm looking for practical advice from people who have dealt with pool safety, fencing, or similar backyard layouts.

I have an 18' x 48" Intex Prism above-ground pool. However, it's installed in an excavated area and is partially buried, so from the surrounding stone patio the pool is essentially accessible at ground level. It doesn't function like a typical above-ground pool where a child would need to climb a ladder.

My son is currently 8 months old. He can't walk or open doors yet, but I'm trying to think ahead to when he's a mobile toddler.

The backyard itself is fenced, but the house is inside that fenced area. The back door opens onto a porch/patio that leads directly toward the pool.

I'm trying to decide what the safest and most practical long-term solution is. Options I've considered include:

High-mounted childproof locks on all doors leading outside

Door alarms on all doors leading outside

A baby gate for where the stairs leading to the pool are

Some type of rigid or hard cover over the pool when not in use

A dedicated fence around the pool (not sure where that would go since there is no real space between the pool and the stone patio as seen in the pictures)

Removing the pool entirely

One complication is that if I remove the pool, it would leave a circular excavated area roughly 18 feet across and about 4 feet deep in a stone patio. So removal isn't as simple as taking down a normal above-ground pool and having a flat yard afterward.

A few questions:

If this were your house, what would you do?

Do you think a patio gate + childproof locks + door alarms would be sufficient, or would you still want a dedicated pool fence?

Has anyone successfully installed a safety fence around a partially buried Intex pool like this?

If you removed the pool, what would you do with the excavated area?

Is there anything about this layout that I'm not thinking about?

Gimme both safety perspectives, practical construction/fencing/alarm ideas.

EDIT: Ignore how dirty it is. I'll get to that tomorrow 😇
