Phoenix Gay Men's Chorus

Phoenix Gay Men's Chorus We are The Phoenix Gay Men's Chorus! Our mission is to inspire, uplift, and unite our community through the power of music. 🏳️‍🌈

The Phoenix Gay Men's Chorus is a premiere performing arts organization that strives to unite, inspire, educate, and entertain its diverse audiences, members, allies, and supporting partners. Through our music and with our key community collaborating partners, we address issues on bullying/violence, su***de, parenting, conversion therapy, discrimination, healthcare, and acceptance just to name a f

ew. Equally as important, we provide a safe environment for our local singers, artists, and musicians to express their artistic talents with authenticity. We are proud to be a sought after performing arts group here in Phoenix, not just in the LGBTQ+ community, but in the broader community as well. Performance highlights include: International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, Equality Arizona Annual Gala, World AIDS Day, National Anthem performed at Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Phoenix Coyotes games, and benefit performances for PFLAG, Aunt Rita's Foundation, Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS, one-n-ten, The Trevor Project, and the Tyler Clementi Foundation. PHXGMC has performed or collaborated with many national artists and organizations, including: Folk singer Holly Near, comedians Leslie Jordan and Margaret Cho, Thelma Houston, Prince Poppycock, Kristine W, and David Hernandez. PHXGMC is a member of GALA Choruses (the International Gay & Le***an Association of Choruses), and has participated in seven GALA Festivals: Tampa, FL (1996), San Jose, CA (2000), Seattle, WA (2002), Montreal, Canada (2004), Miami, FL (2008), Denver, CO (2012), and Denver, CO (2016).

There are some voices that feel like they’ve always been with us. Dolly Parton was one of them.

Her music carried humor, heartbreak, resilience, faith, joy, and an unmistakable belief in people. She made generations feel a little lighter, a little braver, and a little more themselves — and the world feels different without her in it.

Today, we’re remembering Dolly the way we know best: through music. We’re honored to share our PHXGMC performance of “9 to 5” from Rhinestone Rodeo in celebration of a woman whose songs, spirit, and extraordinary heart will live on far beyond her lifetime.

Thank you for the music, Dolly. Thank you for the joy. 🤍

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

Today, we’re celebrating the people, communities, and freedoms that bring us together. As we reflect on Independence Day, we’re grateful for opportunities to share music that inspires connection, pride, and hope.

We’re honored to look back on our recent performance of the National Anthem and wish everyone a safe, joyful, and meaningful Fourth of July.

Before the curtain rose on Broadway Lights this afternoon, we paused for one of our favorite and most meaningful traditions. 🌹

Each season, we celebrate members completing their very first year with the Phoenix Gay Men’s Chorus through our New Member Pinning Ceremony.

New members are honored by the mentor who helped guide them throughout their first season, presenting them with a rose and their official PHXGMC alumni pin — a symbol of the journey they’ve taken, the friendships they’ve built, and the community they now help strengthen.

Today, we celebrated not just a milestone… but the beginning of lifelong friendships and a forever connection to this family.

Welcome to the legacy. ❤️🏳️‍🌈
