Sofar Sounds Phoenix Sofar is a global music movement. It hosts intimate secret gigs in 428 cities all around the world, including the Phoenix metro area as of 2015.

Sofar Sounds - Songs From a Room
Sofar offers emerging artists an intimate, welcoming, and unique venue to perform their craft in front of enthusiastic ears. The gigs are a secret! Music lovers sign up on the email list to become a member and RSVP when they see a show nearby or possibly in a city they will be visiting during the given date. A select number of members will receive an invite to a concert. Prior to the show, the address of the gig is sent via email. The artists performing at the show are unknown until the guests show up. The venues range from living rooms, backyards, to after hours coffee shops and loft spaces. The mission is bring back the true nature of live music, raw and stripped of the mainstream pressures.
