Four strings and a song — originals, folk, a little this and a little that, with a goal of touching hearts through music. Sue, also known as Traveling Sue, is a troubadourable, ukulele playing singer and songwriter who makes her home wherever she happens to be. She plays originals, folk, a little this and a little that, with a goal of touching hearts in the process. Her ukulele technique has been described as "wow, you sure get a lot of music out of those four strings." When she sings you know you're going to hear a song, live a story. Her music journey and lifestyle are proof that It’s Never Too Late to Become More You.

Why ukulele and live music is so important! And just a reminder that Sue Schnitzer will be playing her ukulele tonight (Friday, June 19 at 7:30pm Arizona time)! From the Wales Ukulele Project:

“A big goal of the Ukulele Project is to combat loneliness by using the ukulele as a tool. We see everyday how joining a group can benefit a person and help them make friends not just locally but Nationally as well. This week is Loneliness Week and the theme is "Giving Loneliness a Voice", Why not bring your voice or use your ukulele as the voice to left up spirits and bring everyone together away from loneliness. Joining a group brings the following benefits:

Group music-making is described as a powerful "social glue." Creates stronger social connections than many other group activities. Singing or playing together synchronizes heartbeats, breathing helping to foster unity.

TONIGHT! Thursday June 18, 2026 at 6:30pm! Musicians, poets, spoken word artists! Looking for a intimate environment to share your music or poetry? Our Open Stage night is completely acoustic, no mics or amps, and lots of fun whether you wish to play or present, or simply enjoy the evening as part of the audience. $10 admission, KN95+ masks required & provided free. Doors will open at 5:45pm, and we start playing at 6:30pm. We have been playing as a song circle, and do a one-song rotation and a time limit of no more than 4 minutes per turn. Depending on the number of performers, we often do four or even more rounds in the evening, so it's always a nice variety of music, poetry, spoken word, and storytelling. You are welcome here, and this is a great place to share a new song, or try a poem, or do a spoken word piece - there is so much beauty out there, come and share yours with an interested and supportive group of artists and appreciators who truly listen! Did we mention we have a nice Yamaha electric 88-key piano too? **We recommend arriving before 6:29pm (if you are a musician, that will get you in on the first rotation, and if you just want to enjoy the music, you'll be there from the start!). And if you can't be there early, come on by when you can, and we will get you into the rotation.**
We are committed to community care, and providing an inclusive, clean air environment to all. KN95+ masks are required to be worn properly while inside and are provided FREE at the venue. Each performer may choose to remove their mask while playing their turns. We'll have fabulously strong brewed coffee, teas, cocoa, cold water, and pop available for you to enjoy, which is included with your admission. This weekend at Fiddler’s Dream showcases two great musicians: Sue Schnitzer on Friday, June 19, and Tom Andes on Saturday, June 20. Both evenings start at 7:30pm with doors at 7pm. Admission is $10, and our usual beverages are $3.

What a delightful evening with jessi.is.tired and great coffee and friends! Jessi is a marvelous songwriter and singer, and we love having her play a solo show! We will definitely be working on getting an evening with her and her band mates!

TONIGHT Saturday, June 13, 2026 showcases Jessi.Is.Tired, doors at 7pm, music starts at 7:30pm, at Fiddler's Dream, 1702 East Glendale Avenue, Phoenix AZ 85020. $10 door, KN95+ earloop masks required (and are available FREE at the venue). Jessi.Is.Tired sings "fun" songs about hard topics. Her lyrics are humorous and heavy. Her songs together tell a tale of what happens when you repress your emotions, and the different stages of learning to feel again. Going from musically masking to raging, Jessi explores different vibes and genres for different emotions. When not singing solo, she can be found with her band being very loud and taking up space on purpose. As a proudly Disabled artist, she challenges the narrative that she should be palatable, and only sing positive, uplifting songs to inspire people. Instead, she writes honest songs meant to shine a light on the societal barriers Disabled people face, the trauma it leads to, and the messy emotions that come with living in a world that actively 'others' and excludes you. Her ultimate goal is to improve accessibility in the local scene, and ampliify other Disabled artists. So come hang out, rage, cry, laugh, and maybe even learn something! *Mature Language* tonight!
We are doing our best to be inclusive to all who would like to attend, to include those in high risk or immune compromised status. We are presenting live events while keeping the safety of the audience, volunteers, and performers as our primary concern, and KN95+ masks are required to be worn by attendees while inside.
