Helios: A Modern Renaissance vocalists Nina Garguilo, Holly Sheppard, Nate Pence, and Jordan Murillo explore Haydn’s more playful and intimate side with selections from his delightful lieder and oratorio. The program also features Sungmin Kim performing Haydn’s elegant Piano Sonata in E minor.

Nina Cole of Helios says: “We are so excited to present this concert featuring the vocal works of Haydn.  While known for his Classical style, some of his vocal music can be surprisingly bold and playful.  You’ll near unexpected twists, including colorful harmonies, chromaticism, vivid word pairings, and dynamic  contrasts that really bring these pieces to life.”
