Class Description
Join Scott Stevenson, Brand Ambassador and Art Educator for DANIEL SMITH Artists’ Materials, for an engaging and informative watercolor workshop designed for artists of all skill levels. This immersive session explores both the artistry and science behind DANIEL SMITH’s renowned watercolor and gouache paints.
Through dynamic discussion, Scott will guide participants through the rich history of DANIEL SMITH, their innovative paint-making process, and the distinctive characteristics that set their colors apart—including the celebrated PrimaTek mineral-based pigments.
Participants will gain a deeper appreciation of key watercolor attributes such as lightfastness, granulation, and pigment behavior, while exploring the inspiration behind iconic colors like Moonglow and Serpentine. With an open, conversational teaching style, Scott encourages curiosity, creative exploration, and hands-on discovery.
Attendees will leave with a stronger understanding of their materials, practical techniques to elevate their work, and fresh inspiration to expand their creative possibilities.
