ASU Philharmonia Positions available in all sections! Come and join us! The ensemble performs at least two programs each semester and meets twice weekly.

ASU Philharmonia is a symphonic orchestra open to all ASU students who are interested in staying active orchestra musicians while completing their studies at Arizona State University. The Arizona State University Philharmonia Orchestra provides its members an engaging and vigorous orchestral experience for both music and non-music majors. Under the supervision of Music Director Julie Desbordes, th

e orchestra serves its music majors by providing them important foundational orchestral experience with a deep variety of standard repertoire and serves its non-music majors by providing them an opportunity to continue their orchestral playing at the college-level, expanding their knowledge and enjoyment of advanced repertoire and playing alongside pre-professional players. Community members are welcome to join!

Join the ASU Philharmonia for their final concert of the 2025-26 season!

The Philharmonia will collaborate once again with the Philharmonic Orchestra from the Phoenix Youth Symphony Orchestras in an inspiring side-by-side concert at ASU Gammage.

Both ensembles, directed and conducted by Julie Desbordes, will join forces to co-create a meaningful evening of music making, and to celebrate our youths’ exceptional talents and voices.

Tickets: $15 general admission
