We will also be debuting our photobook “Threads of Light” tonight. If you pre-ordered your copy, you can pick yours up tonight.

Hold the Date for our final Juried Theme Gallery of 2026!

Enter Your Images in Café During the Open Period of November 1 - November 15.

Theme: The Natural World: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water are primordial forces that shape the natural world we inhabit. Each contains within it both beauty and the potential for immense havoc.

Show us how you express this broad subject matter into something interesting through using light, composition and arrangement.

Each member may submit up to 3 images that speaks to the theme. Theme Gallery Entry Fee, per call: $25 for AZPA members, $50 non-members. Patron members get one free Theme Gallery call per year; for Benefactor members, all calls are free.

Submissions will be juried by Richard Laugharn (Richard Laugharn ). The juror will select one image from each submitting member to appear in an online exhibition on the website. The juror will also choose a First Place and two Honorable Mentions for special recognition. The First-Place awardee will receive $100!

Azpa Member News 💫 Our member Gary Phoenix (Gary Phoenix ) is exhibiting his work in “Frames Within Frames,” an international juried photography exhibition!

From now to October 10, his work is on display at Praxis Photo Center (Praxis Gallery | Photo Center ) in Minneapolis, MN. This exhibition explores the creative use of visual borders, framing elements, and layered perspectives within photographic compositions.

Join us at the Opening Reception of Seen|Unseen Exhibition!

Monday, October 5 from 5:30pm to 8pm at Eric Fischl Art Gallery at Phoenix College (Eric Fischl Gallery ), join us for an exciting evening.

The Seen|Unseen exhibition displays portfolio-based work selected by our juror Emilia Mickevicius (Emmy ).

Refreshments will be served, and you can pick up your copy of “Threads of Light,” our latest photobook! We are celebrating the book’s release during the Opening Reception for Seen|Unseen. Please join us and pick up your pre-ordered book.

If you’re not able to join us at the opening, please contact us to make other arrangements.

In the Community 💙

Through Each Others Eyes (TEOE ) is hosting a Seminar with Arizona Masters Scott Baxter (Scott T. Baxter ), Joel Grimes (Joel Grimes ), and Jeff Kida (Jeff Kida ) on Saturday Oct 3 from 9am - 1:30pm.

It will take place at Western Spirit Museum in Scottsdale.

The cost to attend is $75, but AZPA members will receive a $15 discount by entering the code FRIENDSOFTEOE at checkout!

There’s still time to attend our private tour and gallery walk with curator and Director of Northlight Gallery, Dr. Cecilia Fajardo-Hill and Mehrdad Mirzaie.

Friday, September 25, you will have the opportunity to meet and hear perspectives about the exhibition from Dr. Fajardo-Hill as she guides members of Arizona Photography Alliance through a private exhibition tour of “Photo-Role-Playing.”

Work from fellow AZPA members KJ Herb (k.J. herb ), Rennan Kooistra (Rennan ), and Dean Terasaki (Dean Terasaki ) are included in this exhibition.

The evening will continue with a visit to Mehrdad Mirzaie’s studio, including discussions about his work.
