Phoenix has more residents than any other state capital in the United States, and for good reason. People flock here for the numerous job opportunities, food, arts, and good times. But what is it that truly makes Phoenix so special? Is it all those reasons combined, or is there something more? Maybe it’s just the feel of the city that so many fall in love with. Let’s take a look at some of the things that make Phoenix the city it is and set it apart from the rest.
For the casual visitor, Phoenix offers a fun night out and great food. For those daydreamers who have Phoenix on their bucket-list of places-to-go, it is a city nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Sonoran Desert.
But for the day-to-day life of a Phoenician, there are more practical attractions that make the city great. With a low unemployment rate, Phoenix has a very stable economy. There are several thriving industries in Phoenix. If you’re in real estate, Phoenix is the place to be. With less hold ups in real estate development, it is much easier for builders to carry out projects.
All these projects popping up means more options for our residents. Phoenix has a much higher than average vacancy rate, so there’s never really going to be an issue finding a new home. But it’s not all about the real estate. Phoenix is also home to a huge variety of restaurants. Of course, the city is dominated by an amazing selection of food, too!
The Phoenix Life
Phoenix has a lot going for it. It hits all the major areas that you look for when you want something to do. There are plenty of restaurants, lots of art and entertainment, and of course, all of the professional sports. Phoenix also is home to a growing underground art movement.
If you want a regular dose of art and culture, you can check out Downtown Phoenix’s art scene and RoRo arts district. As the name suggests, it is held every first Friday of the month. Better yet, it’s completely free, so you really have no reason not to go. You’ll get the chance to view art, eat, and shop. For some family fun, head to the Phoenix Art Museum for a free day of scavenger hunts and roaming about. The list goes on and on!
Sports
Phoenix is one of only 13 metropolitan areas to be home to all four major professional sports: baseball, football, basketball, and hockey. In short, it’s a great place to be if you love sports. You can watch the Arizona Diamondbacks (baseball), the Cardinals (football), the Phoenix Suns (basketball), and the Arizona Coyotes (hockey). No matter what sport you crave, you can find it here in Phoenix.
A Day in the Life
So, now you know some of what makes Phoenix such a great place to live. You can start your day out enjoying the clear, beautiful skies. Then you can head out to one of its many wonderful restaurants. Before you check in at Chase Field to watch the Diamondbacks, you can stop by the Phoenix Art Museum to see some beautiful artwork and fun times with the family. There’s always something to fill your fancy.
Of course, with so much to do and such little time to do it, you may need some help to keep track. For that, look no further than The Ultimate Guide to Central Phoenix. You’ll find constant updates and information on every aspect of Phoenix life. Whether you’re looking for a new breakfast spot or info on local musicians, you’ll find it there. Take a look and stay up to date with one of the richest cities in the U.S.!
