🎊 Happy Birthday, Vintage Silver Center!! Two years ago we launched our day program for seniors. We had big goals and dreams and have been so blessed to see our vision come to life!

🪩 Here are some of our favorite things that have happened over the last two years…

• The friendships our members have made!
• All the laughs and inside jokes we have shared!
• The connections we have created in our community!
• The games we have played and Recreational Therapy goals we have accomplished!
• All the ways we have learned from each other and supported each other in each walk of life!
• All the times we have honored and loved our bodies by moving them!
• Each and every one of our members 🩷

• Each and every one of their loved ones! 🩵

🤘🏻 The VSC members got tatted for National Tattoo Day!

🦋 July 17th is National Tattoo Day, and our members celebrated in style! Each member got to choose their own temporary tattoos and where to put it. Don’t worry, they wash off in a couple days!

🌸 It was so fun seeing them be creative with their unique style. The bestie tattoos were a highlight of the hour… and Mark with the classic MOM ❤️ on his bicep and 🦁 face tattoo!

🌟 This was such a fun activity and we can’t wait for National Tattoo Day 2027!

💗 Make affirmation stencil art with our members RT intern!

🫧 This semester our Recreational Therapy intern, Avi, is implementing a self-love program with our members. They started off her project with some stencil art! Avi intentionally chose each stencil for a specific member based on what they need to be reminded of 🫶🏻

🏓 Have you ever seen seniors playing cup pong? (Don’t sorry, minus the beer 😉) If you haven’t, let us change that!

🌟 At the Vintage Silver Center, cup pong is one of our favorite games to play together! The members work together to get rid of all the cups, but the person to land the ball in the last cup wins it all!

🙌🏻 This game encourages…
• hand-eye coordination
• teamwork/camaraderie
• perseverance/self-worth
• problem solving/critical thinking

🏆 The most important thing? NEVER give up. You never know when your next shot might be the one that wins you the game!

❤️ Who knew that such a simple game would turn into such a profound metaphor for life?!

🫖 This week we partnered with to throw a tea party and pampering day for our ladies to celebrate Mother’s Day!

🌷We had delicious tea, finger sandwiches, and local treats all on some beautiful real china!

💅🏼 After enjoying our refreshments the ladies got manicures and hand massages! Even the king of our tea party got a hand massage!

💭 A true tea party wouldn’t have been complete without some good conversation starters to connect and learn more about each other!

🌸 We had so much fun and are excited to celebrate our moms again next year!
