Dancing Classrooms Phoenix During the 2009-2010 school year Dancing Classrooms will have served nearly 50,000 children in 525 schools worldwide.

Dancing Classrooms Phoenix is part of Dancing Classrooms, an organization that started in New York City in 1994 teaching the children of the New York Public Schools Dancing Classrooms is a social development program for 5th and 8th grade children that utilizes ballroom dancing as a vehicle to change the lives of not only the children who participate in the program but also the lives of the teachers and parents who support them.

Developed by Pierre Dulaine, Director of Dancing Classrooms (a project of the American Ballroom Theater) in New York City in 1994, the program builds confidence and team work, stretches creative skills and supports academic excellence.
