Hi everybody,
MDA Summer camp is coming up soon and this is my first call for volunteers. We have double duty this year, as the younger kids have now moved to the older kid's week and they're wondering why they don't get to race RC cars.. The MDA has asked if we could come up for two days this year and of course I said, "You bet"!

I don't expect everyone to be able to make both days but you're welcome to. Otherwise, we need to make sure we have great coverage for both days, so I hope to get some commitments this week.

Our first date to go up is June 8th, a Thursday. Our first group will be at 10:30AM and our last group finishes at 2:30PM.

Our 2nd date is Monday, June 12th. This is a longer day, with 4 groups of the kids. Our first group is 9AM and our last group will end around 4:30PM.

I believe this is our 12th year and it's more and more rewarding, with each passing year. I truly believe it's a great experience for families or even someone who isn't really into RC Racing... The kids absolutely love driving the cars and we have fun little events to get the blood pumping!

Besides helpers, we could always use RC cars of any type and support equipment. We normally bring up food and grill out and it's all nestled in the rim country, just about 30 minutes north of Payson.

This is an event that really matters to so many kids with muscular dystrophy and as someone with the disease, I thank you for considering to help out!!

The weather for the week looks AMAZING!! ... 70's and sunny... Perfect for a week of great racing!! The rain yesterday has made the track and parking lot a mud pit for the time being, so today the track and entire fear farm facility are closed. No trailers or cars can go in. We will be out there tomorrow morning with a crew to get the facility in tip top shape and continue with the DNC preparations!! The track looks awesome (aside from the rain soak from yesterday) with feature from some of the best DNC tracks in the past!!!
Sign ups will be taken at the track on race day as well as online. It looks to be the toughest field ever with former world champion Robert Battle, current World champion David Ronnefalk, eupopean champion Elliott Boots and of course the stacked field of Americas top 25 pros.... The track will surely separate the A group from the rest. . Get Ready, It's Nitro Challenge Time!!!

We would like to thank all of our racers that attended or watched the . What an amazing weekend of racing. We were super bummed that we had to call it before the finals but the surface was not suitable to turn Marshall. Congrats to our winner Ryan Maifield in ebuggy, Joe Bornhorst in Truggy and Tanner Denney in Buggy. Tanner was able to take home the grand champion award with finishing on the podium in all three classes.

Practice for the late arrivals will be between 7:30-8:30 drivers meeting at 8:45 racing close to 9 am as we can.

The organizers of the event met last night and have agreed to pay $500 for each class win. If the same driver wins all three classes they will win between $1,500-$5,000 depending on entries. If we get to 200 entries the sweep with pay $2,000. If we get to 250 it will pay $2500 and so on all the way to 450 entries. Looking forward to seeing everyone e next week.

We just also received confirmation that Team Serpent/Picco/Desoto Racing will be attending the second annual US OPEN Fuel Championships presented by AKA. Thank you Paul and Joaquin for supporting the event.

We have confirmation that we that we will have team support from Mks, Rcconcept, Hot bodies or HB, Nitropro, Vp, Tlr, Mugen, serpent, Picco, desoto racing and Tekno with more coming on board daily. Looking forward to an amazing layout by the Dirt as well. Also, we will have the AKA van here for tire needs.
