The Great Arizona Story Slam

The Great Arizona Story Slam It's A Story Contest The Great Arizona Story Slam is a contest for storytellers, telling personal stories. A maximum of ten names are drawn.

Modeled after other slams like The Moth in New York and L.A., The AZ Story slam is a fun way to spend the evening hearing creative, true, personal stories that may make you laugh and cry at the same time. At The Great Arizona Story Slam, potential tellers put their names in the hat at the beginning of the evening. Each teller has five minutes to tell their story, which must be based on the evening

’s theme. Tellers who go over the time limit (or disregard other rules) will not be eligible to win prizes. Stories are judged on creative crafting, telling and adherence to the theme. The winner is chosen by a panel of judges and wins $100. The runner-up is chosen by the audience and wins $50. The next Slam will be on Tuesday, August 30th at the Arcadia Room, 40th Street & Campbell in Phoenix

Seems there has been some activity on The Great Arizona Story Slam page. For all those who have visited or liked us, here is some current info:
I haven't produced the slam since 2012. WOW, just realized that was three years ago! I just couldn't keep it going and wasn't getting enough attendance. I thought the amount of the prize money would entice folks...but it didn't. I will keep the web page up (with videos from all the slams) http://azstoryslam.com/

Why do I feel so exhausted from producing the Slam?
