Earlier today, I had the pleasure of entertaining senior patrons at the City of Phoenix Shadow Mountain Senior Center by hosting my Game Show. Participants competed to guess the correct word found within the lyrics of popular songs.

The hour-long session featured lively Lyrics Guru gameplay, an engaging discussion on the evolution of audio technology, and a fun dance segment set to a curated playlist of classic hits from the 1950s and 1960s.

A fantastic time was had by all!

Yesterday, I was honored to be approved by the VFW Post 1433 board to bring our Lyrics Guru game show entertainment to members on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 7–10 PM.

The event includes Lyrics Guru gameplay, open discussions on favorite concert memories and the evolution of music tech (from reel-to-reel to cassettes), dancing to classic hits from the 1950s–70s, and a free raffle to win the Lyrics Guru Song Lyrics Trivia Puzzle Book—available now at BarnesandNoble.com for $17.76. The book features puzzles based on all 50 U.S. state songs.

Now exhibiting our Lyrics Guru song lyrics trivia word game at the Need for Speed Marketing Phoenix Senior Living 5th Annual Senior Living Expo, Arizona’s largest healthcare event for assisted living.

Attendees like Nathan and Katrina of Safe Haven Assisted Living Home; Charles Richardson (and friend) of Chaparral Home Care, Ligia Sav of Cloud Resort and others have stopped by and played a few rounds and learned more about the services we offer.

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting new friends at the Paradise Valley Community Center. I partnered with the City of Phoenix Human Services Department for a two-hour stint, hosting my engaging Lyrics Guru Game Show. Additionally, I curated a lively playlist of 1950s hits for attendees to enjoy and dance to. It was a blast for everyone involved!

This morning, I (Al Jones) had the pleasure of hosting the Lyrics Guru game show, a highlight of the carnival-style festivities at the City of Phoenix, AZ USA | Adam Diaz Senior Center (4115 W. Thomas Rd. Phoenix, AZ).

The performance went beyond the conventional as we introduced an exhilarating dance instructional segment, specifically designed to inspire seniors to join in the fun. We guided them through iconic 1980s/1990s club dances like the Reebok, the Brass Monkey, the Smurf, and the Whop, along with timeless classics like The Twist.

The event provided a fantastic opportunity to share the sheer joy of music and movement. Heartfelt thanks to Elsa Valencia, her staff and everyone involved for contributing to this memorable experience.

During my recent journey to India and the Arabian Sea, I collected sand from the shore, filtered it, and incorporated it into an hourglass structure, serving as a symbol of the steadfast partnership between the Lyrics Guru team in the USA and the Amar InfoTech and Excel PTP team in India.

Just as the sand traverses the hourglass, communication between these entities forms the lifeblood of international relations.

Information cascades, uniting continents, nurturing harmony, and guaranteeing that the symphony of cooperation persists through the ever-flowing sands of time.
