Hi, I’ve been putting the finishing touches on my upcoming Spotlight Room exhibition at the Mountain Artists Guild Gallery in Prescott, AZ, (228 N. Alarcon St.) August 19th - October 17th. I just finished the centerpiece piece of the exhibit, a horse named Goldilocks. She is 40” tall and 32” wide, teal blue and gold. Penny, a light blue horse; Josie, a comic book collage horse and Pinky a pink, silver and blue horse will also be part of the exhibit. A reminder that on the 4th Friday of every month the gallery is open from 5-7 for Prescott Art Walk. There is food, wine and music and it’s a great time to meet artists. I hope you can stop by. This past winter, I found lots of tissue paper real cheap in thrift store and I’ve been having a lot of fun collaging with it and combining it with found objects.

I completed a 20” horse, which I will donate to the Mountain Artists Guild’s November fundraiser auction. Her name is Penny (Since this is the year pennies are being phased out and I incorporated a penny I found on the ground into the sculpture). Today I found this 40” rearing horse statue and had to buy it! Haven’t decided what color he will be, but my plan is to have him done for my October Spotlight Room show. Take Care all.

I will be the Feature Wall Artist at the Mountain Artist Guild Gallery in Prescott AZ May 20th through June 20th. If you are in the area please stop in. The artist reception is on Friday May 22nd from 5 to 7. I’ll demonstrate tissue paper collage techniques and as always on the 4th Friday there will be music, wine and food. Below are a few of the pieces that will be on display. Everything except the pink horse is Tissue Paper collage.

It has been suggested that I make some more horses so I found a few toy horses at a thrift store. My initial thoughts are the blue one (10.5” tall) will be silver and turquoise and I’m leaning towards making the black one (20” tall) all black, but haven’t decided yet. If you have any thoughts, let me know. Take care
