There is an island the world forgot.
Far beyond the familiar shores of Urdur Prime lies Yūgen, a place untouched by the Thousand Years War.
There are no armies marching through its fields.
Instead, there are mountain villages, hidden shrines, spirit-haunted forests, bustling markets, hot springs, strange creatures, old traditions, and the kind of little mysteries that can become very big adventures.
Yūgen appears on no map.
Most travelers will never find it.
But every so often, something extraordinary returns to its shores.
The Wayward House.
Part inn. Part marketplace. Part impossible wandering wonder.
Its doors have opened in distant kingdoms, forgotten ruins, strange ports and places nobody can quite agree exist.
When the House comes to Yūgen, it brings travelers, merchants, performers, rumors, mysteries, and occasionally things that probably should have stayed wherever it found them.
I'm building a new campaign in Urdur Prime, inspired by Eastern folklore, Studio Ghibli-style wonder, yokai, cozy fantasy, slice-of-life storytelling and the idea that adventure does not always begin with the end of the world.
Sometimes it begins with a festival.
A missing spirit.
A strange package.
A door that wasn't there yesterday.
Or a room in the Wayward House nobody remembers building.
Somewhere beyond the Turning Sea, Yūgen is waiting.
