We made the magazine. 📰 Souvenirs, Gifts & Novelties
SGN Magazine — the national trade publication for souvenir shops — just ran a full profile on Eyeconic Arizona. And honestly? It still doesn't feel real.
The story starts with a 15-year-old kid named Albert at a swap meet with a card table and an airbrush. A middle school principal had told him, "You're using your talent in the wrong way." He listened.
Forty years later, that kid runs a family business on the McDowell Miracle Mile with his daughters Jade and Trinity — 150+ Arizona-themed designs, screen printing humming in the back, tour buses pulling into the lot on their way to the airport.
We didn't set out to build a souvenir shop. In 2023, we put out four racks of Arizona shirts as a test run. People kept stopping in before their flights just to grab something real — something made here. So we knocked down a wall, found a hidden door behind it (literally), and built out the storefront you walk into today.
Huge thank you to Kristen Hampshire and the team at SGN Magazine for telling our story the right way.
