CALL FOR ART! Deadline is Feb. 28 for art submission to Ruins, Relics & Rituals fiber art exhibition which will be on display at the Olney Gallery at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 100 West Roosevelt Street, Phoenix Arizona 85003 April 15,2026 – June 30, 2026. Explore the passage of time in themes such as relics, the beauty found in ruins, and the transformative power embedded within rituals. Through the lens of contemporary fiber art, we want to start a dialogue that resonates with the essence of these themes, inviting artists to interpret them through personal narrative, historical reflection, or exploration of contemporary society. FOR MY FRIENDS IN HAWAII! Heading to the islands in early December to take part in a “Talk Story” book event with Jessica C. Williams at a senior living community in Honolulu, Oahu at 2 pm Fri., Dec. 12. After that, we’ll head to Kauai where we will sell our books by Aloha Spice Company in Hanapepe on Sun., Dec. 14 from noon to 4 p.m. Then, we’ll have a final book event at my Kauai Beach Villas (KBV) condo in Lihue on Mon., Dec. 15 from 4-6 p.m. with happy hour pupus and other refreshments. Arts & Crafts Program Brought to you by WHAM Apples for Art; where donations are provided to bring arts & crafts to kids at a discounted rate to bring art to your little ones to enjoy.

We will be participating in small arts & crafts projects, with a different medium each class, consisting of either watercolor, mixed media, painting, crafts and small projects.

Holiday Artist Market • December 5–7, 2025
Celebrate the season at Sedona Arts Center’s Holiday Artist Market, a festive weekend showcasing over 40 artists and makers from Sedona and across Arizona. Discover handmade gifts, fine art, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, ornaments, paintings, and more — all curated for meaningful holiday giving.

The weekend begins with a special Opening Reception on Friday, December 5 from 4–6pm, featuring live holiday music by Shondra. Enjoy light refreshments, meet the artists, and get first access to this year’s work.

Winners will have their artwork displayed and be recognized on stage by Mayor Kevin Hartke at our 31st Annual Multicultural Festival on Saturday, Jan. 17.

For fiber artists of all kinds!

SIGN UP TODAY! FAC WORKSHOP 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sat., Oct 25, Layered Fabric Assemblage, an inspiring, fun-filled class taught by Vicki Assegued, a highly innovative national fiber arts instructor. Through much experimentation, Vicki developed the techniques for Layered Fabric Assemblage and she loves to share all of the steps with her students, who go on to create truly unique and stunning fiber art pieces. This art form involves selecting multiple layers and textures of fabric to juxtapose in order to create a base of beautiful overlays. From this foundation, additional shapes are built to extend outward, giving the piece added dimension and excitement. The final piece can either hang on the wall or become an altar. No sewing involved. Perfect for beginning through advanced artists. This workshop is held partly on live zoom and partly by per-recorded video instructions, so that you're offered support in several different ways as you dive into this gorgeous art form. Vicki is an experimental and innovative fiber artist and instructor, always finding new and unique ways to work with textiles and fibers. Check out her website at www.vickiart.com for more.
