🎟️ TICKETS ARE LIVE FOR WHEN WOMEN GATHER!

When Women Gather was created by adult dancers who chose to say yes to something new. Some of us came to dance later in life. We’ve navigated the nerves, the self-doubt, the awkward first steps, and the moments of wondering if we were “good enough” to be here.

And then we kept showing up.

This piece was created specifically for the OPEN International Adult Dance Festival in Rome, Italy 🇮🇹 on November 14, a festival that creates performance opportunities for non-professional adult dancers.

But before we take it to Rome, we’re bringing it to the Phoenix stage.

Meet Victoria!

Q: What’s your why for participating in this project?

A: I regretted not participating in this project back in 2024. When the opportunity presented itself to me again I didn’t want to make the same mistake twice! This project and USD have allowed me to return to dance in a big way and I’m so grateful for the community Michaela has created here.

Road to Rome: Stories🩰

Meet Michaela!

Q: What’s your why for participating in this project?

A: I am participating in Road to Rome because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the magic of making dance, regardless of their age or experience level. I wanted to open the door to the creative process for people who have never experienced it before, or for those who may be returning to it after many years away. Most importantly, I wanted to create a real performance opportunity for adult beginner dancers, giving them the chance to step into the studio, create something together, and ultimately share their work on an international stage. This project is about proving that it’s never too late to create, to perform, and to dream a little bigger. ✨
