Meanwhile, your loved one, who can no longer walk, who looks the most exhausted, continues to see the world with sunshine in their eyes. Even til' the very end.
It's inspiring to see the light when we're caught up with thoughts of our own mortality."

I wanted to use up the Mixed Media paper that's been sitting for years and tried out watercolor.
It's a huge learning curve and my knowledge in color theory needs improving. But it's good to finish a piece and try something new.

This is a comission for my good friend who is a Vtuber on Twitch. They are Cakebot_VT and they are an adorable Strawberry/Pastry themed robot, really fun to draw them in my style! 🍓🍰
On some parts I used glittery jelly roll pens.

Back in August I was in a play for B3 Productions. It was a version of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing set in a modern day high school. You got your typical cliques like the cheerleaders, faculty, jocks, and theatre nerds.

I played the evil Don John but as a mean goth girl getting mad at everything. Next to me is Borachio, the burnout, and Conrade, the goody two-shoes.

I promised I would finish this drawing then unexpected life stuff happened, I'm glad it's finally finished! 🥰

I basically wanted to draw the album cover in my own style, sickly bright colors, bows and all. Oil Removed (although the lyrics dont match the drawing) was THE song that got me into back when I was 18. So I wanted to do a tribute.

So here's my first post after almost a year. Absolutely wtf have I been doing?

This is what I did:
I'm back to school! My assignments this semester requires field experience, which takes up a good chunk of my time and energy. All good!

I did a bunch of theatre stuff. First was working with Phoenix Theatre during the summer, then doing a show in B3, then another from Ronin (picture 3)

I traveled (NYC, Denver), and I'm getting (a liiiitle) more comfortable with driving, which has been my life's biggest hurdles.

Art has been put in the back burner even though I bought a bunch of supplies and started some things, I feel good coming back to it.

This drawing is basically a reflection of my self image. I know I'm cute, I've received compliments about my appearance, how I dress, etc. But even I'm not immune to nitpicking everything about my face (how slightly older I look compared to my early 20s) and body (unchanged except for my diabetes kicking my a** and showing physical signs of having it for 11 years).

Picture 3 is me in character for Ronin Theatre Company's The Haunted Castle. I was actually SICK when this photo was taken. It's been hard recently for me to feel cute despite putting in the effort. Underneath, I feel like the creature in my drawing doing my best to get going. And that's okay, I will keep going, and so will my art.
