"After thousands of years of femicide, especially in the United States, we are left with the collective spirits of women: mothers, daughters, and small girls, taken by the hands of male oppressors.
And believe me, they are angry."

I started this one last year when I was doing play rehearsals with nothing to do. I have a lot less to do and finally finished this piece.
I have no idea how far I can push the boundaries of showing bl**d in the ever-changing terms of services here on Instagram. We'll just have to wait and see.

"You are the caretaker. You are stormed by the reality of seeing your loved ones aging and gripped by the uncertainty of what happens next. You're own problems, in the grand scheme of things, feel miniscule compared to the present circumstances.
Meanwhile, your loved one, who can no longer walk, who looks the most exhausted, continues to see the world with sunshine in their eyes. Even til' the very end.
It's inspiring to see the light when we're caught up with thoughts of our own mortality."

I wanted to use up the Mixed Media paper that's been sitting for years and tried out watercolor.
It's a huge learning curve and my knowledge in color theory needs improving. But it's good to finish a piece and try something new.

"The land has a long history of tragedy, but no one knows why the local children are drawn to the flora growing above the gravesites. A statue was erected long ago, with rumors circulating that it's a guardian from unknown origins watching over them."
