Ruth Treffeisen Studio Line

The artist dolls in the Studio Line are made according to models of Ruth Treffeisen porcelain designs in small editions with variable clothes.

Their real hair wigs, excellent workmanship and painting, as well as high quality clothing made with attention to detail are features with outstanding value for the collector.

Each doll has the artist's genuine signature at the back of her head.

THE ARTIST

Ruth Treffeisen has been one of the world's most renowned doll artists since 1983 and has received many international awards. Her artistry has been awarded gold, silver and bronze medals at the Global Doll Society, Doll Artisan's Guild, Eurodoll, as well as numerous other awards such as Dolls of Excellence, Gallery of Doll and the DOTY award.

THE DOLL ARTIST'S VIEWS

"it is my desire to express moods and feelings through my dolls; to create a world of colorful warmth and harmony; to bring back dreams of my childhood. I get ideas for designing dolls by observing children."

From an 1988 Ginny Doll box:

"Hi! I'm Ginny! I'm the doll America has loved for over 50 years! I come from the distinguished family of Vogue Dolls. I was born in 1937, when Mrs. Jennie Graves designed a doll to wear the beautiful doll clothing she had been making since 1922. Mrs. Graves named me for her daughter, Virginia.

Little girls loved the fact that I was not a baby doll, but a little girl just like them. And with all my wonderful fashions and costumes, they could pretend to be anyone.

Today I'm better than ever! I'm still made with love, and of durable, quality-crafted materials to be a long-lasting collectible. My clothing is imaginatively designed and carefully constructed. I have a growing line of accessories to complement and add fun to your collection.

I've led a pretty exciting life for a little girl, and the future looks brighter than ever. Maybe that's because of a secret I learned long ago. "Open your heart, open your mind. Look for the best, and that's what you'll find!"

Love, Ginny'
