I (30sF) let my daughter, Carlita (7), decide when to share her toys. She is a generous kid, but knows her boundaries. I believe she should βοΈ have the right to choose, especially with toys she bought herself. βοΈ My sister, Hailey, π’ HATES this rule. She thinks Carlita should be FORCED to share, and that kids don't own property anyway. I disagree, saying that I OWN the property and can set the rules. Now Hailey refuses to let her kids visit. π She thinks my boring rules are unfair because her kids have to π respect Carlita's room. When they don't listen, I make them sleep in the living room and bring out separate toys. Hailey actually said I'm teaching Carlita to be a selfish brat and that she'll have NO friends!
