Dance show season is officially in full swing!
Which means I’m spending a lot of time in theaters, behind cameras, checking audio feeds, matching cameras, and making sure the work happening onstage gets captured with care.
If you have a performance coming up this fall, now is a good time to ask: What do I want to have after the show is over?
A full performance video? Clips for social media? Archival footage? Photos? Something you can use for grants, applications, your website, or future promotion?
You don’t have to know all the technical details yet. Start with what you want the documentation to do for you.
Shoutout to Dance collective - this was from last night's show, and they have another performance tonight. Avoid FOMO and get your ticket! Basically: I really love dance, theater, and the arts... and I really love cameras. This business lets me nerd out about both.
Hi to everyone who’s new here, and hello again to those who have been around for a while!
I specialize in multi-camera performance shoots, but that’s definitely not the only thing I film.
Performances. Rehearsals. Creative process. Interviews. Events. Dance films. Art making. Workshops. Behind-the-scenes moments. And the occasional wonderfully weird art project.
And not every project needs a giant camera setup.
Sometimes you need four cameras and a crew. Sometimes you need one really well-pl
