A little piece of history, looking just like he should. 🪵👓

The vintage Paul Bunyan statue — then and now. This week, he got his glasses back, carefully preserved to keep that classic look we all remember. THANK YOU to Northern Sight Vision Clinic for the generous donation of the frames and to our preservationist, Ben, for climbing so high to fit and install them!

Some things are worth preserving exactly as they were. ❤️

While Ben poured the new concrete bases, our Friends of Fred Smith volunteers were hard at work tackling a variety of projects! Today's crew reattached glass, sprayed weeds, applied rust inhibitor to metal parts, crafted new elk ears, and treated moss with D2.

It's amazing how much can be accomplished when volunteers come together!

If you're local and would like to lend a hand, we'd love to have you join us. We meet every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. (weather permitting). Come out, meet great people, and help preserve this special place!
