Long Shot is accepting rolling submissions for upcoming shows! Current months available are October or November 2026 and Winter 2027.

Long Shot is looking for never-before-seen, long-form experimental comedy. The weirder, wilder, and harder to explain, the better.

This is for performers and artists who need a home to try out a new idea, spread some lore in Philadelphia, build an audience, get feedback, or finally make the thing they’ve never had the time, space, or excuse to try before.

Works in progress are welcome. Mess is welcome. Risk is encouraged.

Submit through the form found in our bio.

Long Shot is hosted by Liam Paris and Lea Devon Sorrentino and is performed semi-monthly at Vox Populi Gallery. Each show highlights never-before-seen work from local and national performers/artists who are looking to push the boundaries of their practice and experiment with bold, in-process projects. All tickets are PWYC with all ticket sales going directly to the artists.

We’re excited to announce Chinese Artists and Organizers (CAO) Collective 离离草 as the curatorial residents for "An Endless Meeting: Collective Process, Artistic Labor, and the Politics of Working Together"

Rooted in relational community healing and diasporic exchange, CAO Collective’s interdisciplinary practice brings together performance, food art, poetry, sound, installation, ritual, and collective gathering to explore memory, intimacy, labor, and queer/feminist kinship. CAO Collective is co-directed by hú-tu (huiyin zhou & Laura 嘟嘟), an artist duo with backgrounds in social practice and anthropology.

This fall, hú-tu will be in residence from August 24-October 5th to develop an exhibition and public programming as part of "An Endless Meeting," a multi-part project at Vox Populi exploring collaboration, interdependence, and the politics of working together. The exhibition will be on view October 2 – November 15, 2026

Supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.

MOUTHFUL is up until June 14th! Come by during gallery hours Thurs 4-6pm, Fridays-Sundays 12-6pm.

Pictured here are Rachel Hsu's "Fetch the Moon from the Seabed (海底撈月)" (2021) and Lea Devon Sorrentino's "Hard to Swallow" (2026), both on view in Gallery 1!

MOUTHFUL unearths echoes, rhymes, and dissonances across the past 50 years of cultural production. What sound does meaning make? What shapes do our mouths take?

Join us on Sunday, June 7 at 4 PM for the launch of "Recursive Apologies," a new publication from Inventory Press on artist Janet Zweig’s text-generating sculptures from 1990–2010!

First developed in the early 1990s, Zweig’s works used rudimentary algorithms, dot-matrix printers, and mechanical systems to generate continuously shifting texts. "Recursive Apologies" gathers these works in a richly illustrated volume with essays by Thyrza Nichols Goodeve, Jena Osman, and Johanna Drucker.

The event will feature readings by Jena Osman and Thyrza Nichols Goodeve , followed by a conversation and audience Q&A with Janet Zweig, Osman, and Goodeve.

🌟Come early to spend time with one of the iconic pieces from this body of work: Zweig’s 1993 "Mind Over Matter," currently on view at Vox as part of the exhibition MOUTHFUL.🌟
