Philly Stewards A group of Art-driven Philadelphians who see the collection, support and promotion of contemporary Philadelphia Art and Artists as civic duties.

Philly Stewards is a group of Art-driven Philadelphians who see the collection, support and promotion of contemporary Philadelphia Art and Artists as civic duties. These actions are required particularly at a time when, as a consequence of Philadelphia's recent population growth and increased economic investment throughout the city, the cultural landscape is undergoing rapid change. The best Art made in Philadelphia reflects dynamic critical dialogues that constitute the consciousness of our city. In order to steward these ongoing conversations through an uncertain future, we want to bring together those who are excited (but perhaps apprehensive) about the idea of collecting these cultural touchstones with those who have been at it for years, fomenting a culture of education and support. Philly Stewards looks forward to hosting programming such as dinner potlucks, gallery tours, in-home lectures & demos, studio visits and a Philly-local travel series in order to explore the many facets of contemporary Philadelphia Art.
