This is a new, weekly, Sunday morning Ecstatic Dance offering in Philadelphia.

We are going to do a another three month trial run (Jan-Mar 2026) to see if this is something Philly wants to have on a regular basis.

The Philly Ecstatic Dance Winter Schedule is out !!! Note that we are aspiring to a “Day of Dance” on 1/25. After the Philly Ecstatic Dance there will be a potluck at Sera Phi and we will end in time for everyone to make it to the Love Portal event that afternoon. Please come join us and make it a full day of dance.

Are you ready to dance?! Our weekly ritual is TOMORROW!!! Meet us on the dance floor at 11am to warm up with a Biodynamic Movement practice with Ali Fischer, aka ✨✨✨

Ali Fischer is a fascia bodyworker, somatic therapist, embodiment coach, yogi, and movement lover of all forms. Her warm up for the Ecstatic Dance floor, BioDynamic Movement, is born from her experience as a movement educator and artist. She believes if you can transform it on the dance floor, you can change it in your life. With over 25 years in professional dancing and the healing arts, she has found her soul’s home in the Ecstatic Dance playground and is immensely grateful for the ED community.

Biodynamic Movement is a heart-centered, playful practice that connects you to the deeper understanding that you are frequency itself through your ultimate physical transmitter and vibe generator - the fascial system (now considered an actual organ). You will have fun doing so as you learn how to shift your vibe ,become your own bodyworker and embody your instrument of physical form.

Don’t forget, we’re at a new location- Sera Phi at 941 N Front St. 19123… and a new time! Dance with us from 11am-2pm. We can’t wait to see you all there!!

Our dj for Sunday, January 11th is aka DJMK!

Michelle Keinan (aka DJMK) is a high-vibe, open format Ecstatic Dance DJ known for creating
electrifying, soul-stirring dance floors where every body belongs. A born-and-raised Queens NYC girl
raised on global rhythms and deep basslines, she brings 20+ years of movement practice and 12+
years of community event experience to every set.

With a background as a Somatic Therapist, master community builder, hospitality expert and wellness
entrepreneur, Michelle’s DJ sets are more than music — they’re transformative, embodied journeys.
Her intuitive, magnetic mixing weaves together global beats, joyful classics, and irresistible drops to
unlock connection, release, and pure dancefloor magic.

Whether playing for 50 people barefoot at a beach retreat, 7,000 Burners inside a 24-foot-tall
foam-spewing robot, or teens celebrating a Sweet 16 or B’Mitzvah, Michelle brings the same passion:
to help people come together, shake off the world, and feel fully, joyfully alive and free again.

Starting this Winter dance season, your first dance with us will be free! No time like now to come and see what ecstatic dance is all about.

Rasaq Lawal aka DJ AfrVbz is a one-of-a-kind DJ, yogi, dance instructor and mindfulness
facilitator who has revolutionized the world of dance and wellness through his innovative mix of
African culture, eclectic music, wellness, and fun. Rasaq is an MNDFL-certified group
mindfulness facilitator, director, and choreographer, who has performed on leading platforms
such as So You Think You Can Dance (Season Six) and also as an opening performer for
Grammy Award Winning artist Wizkid. His palpable passion for spreading joy and positivity
through culture and wellness has made him a rare force in the entertainment and wellness
arena.

Ok Sunday dance family, we have a special treat for you!!! We are kicking off our first dance of the year, and the first dance at our new location, with a dance set and cool down from this Sunday, January 4th!

Ry Noss (they/she), also known as SunRyze, is a rising talent in the Philly music scene. With a passion for sound and a drive to foster inclusive spaces, they bring a sparkling energy to every performance. SunRyze blends live trumpet, flute, and bass trombone into their DJ sets to create a dynamic, unforgettable experience. They’ve performed at Philly Pride’s Main Stage, Burning Man, Harmonic Earth Music Festival, Philadelphia Dance Medicine, Playa del Fuego, Silk City, Ruba Club, numerous burlesque and drag venues in Philly and NY, and they are the house DJ at The Nest.

SunRyze’s expertise extends beyond the DJ booth - as a music teacher, they witness firsthand the power of music to bring people together every day. Also a co-founding member of Rising Tide, a trans/q***r-led Philadelphia arts and music collective, they actively work towards creating safer spaces for q***r expression and celebration. From deep cuts to pop hits, SunRyze always leads their audience on an unforgettable sonic experience!
