“Inheritance”

This piece I finished over a month ago and I’ve been working on writing something inspired by it in the mean time. To me it shows how qualities from our elders and ancestors may manifest in our lives. From religious beliefs and traditions, to mental/physical illnesses and addictions. I’ve been doing some healing and looking at how I may have been affected by some of these things.

What do you make of it?

Butterflies represent growth and thats what this page is to me. I painted this cigar box not too long ago just getting back into myself and my creativity. I took my time and it came out better than expected. It got a little damaged in my recent move. I turned it into where I keep beads for my jewelry.

From this I’ve learned to have more patience with myself. What do you think? Would you buy one?
